Still trying to find the best combo of difficulty, 7/8 means I can't hit the practice bonus times but win races starting third (mostly through the start of the race, AI end up with fastest laps). Yeah same, I hit one of the bonus times out of five and I think that was a fluke. Thought I was doing ok until I tried MP, the three intro races. In qualifying always come about two thirds down no matter what I do with tyres/fuel etc. The actual races were better but no danger of a podium. Going to give it a go later with abs/tcs off see if that helps |

Have found it's important to change fuel levels, defaults give you roughly twice as much as you need. I always switch off ABS and TCS as they do too much to the handling of the car in Forza games - no way of dialling it down like in GT7 (ideal would be real world settings for each car).

I’ve had them on ‘sport’ which I think means med/low but yeah, I’ll see how it goes turning them off

Just snuck in half an hour as won’t get to play until weekend. Series X, Performance RT mode.
Some frame judders in the intro but haven’t seen this in racing.
Looks and sounds gorgeous. Did the two intro races and then the first practice and race with the gifted car.
I’m not techy with car games or cars but find the games addictive (hate driving IRL). This is a really welcome return I think. There’s something much more calm about the motorsport series - as much as I like Horizon it’s a bit Tik Tok at times. Great stuff.

Cars are cheaper to buy compared to the old games and now has reasons to hot lap them to unlock a few upgrades.

As a diehard bonnet cam man, there's something that really throws me off when i'm turning a car into a corner when the mirror image across the bonnet surface shifts from one direction to the other. It's like I can't quite get my head around how much my car is moving around. Never experienced it until Forza Horizon, I guess as the image quality has increased over the years. It's so odd.

Enjoying the MP so far. Managed to win my second race but boy does it need a spectator mode or something as the wait can be pretty substantial if you've set your quali and aren't bothered about more practice laps.

5 was the last of the Motorsport series I played so I can't really comment. I'm just enjoying the change from having played Horizon for the last few years.

Instead of buying parts you earn them and apply them like skill points, apart from that ofc it's series after series, cars are cheaper.
Its the first in 6 years so just happy to have a working game on release,

I swear iPhones give roughly 70 per cent more aggressive handling in auto spelling corrects than my old Android did.
My worst one ever was about ‘drinking a litre of coke’ on a Facebook post. You’ll never guess what that one got changed to.
Anyway, cheers. Coffee was sprayed and the error will stand.

First online race, qualified third and then somehow managed to not put enough fuel in the car. Gah, must have over driven and only had put in the required amount for the number of laps. So sad.

Soft tyres for one of my qualifiers was a bad choice, always pick medium if its over 5 laps.

I always go one lap over the estimate. Had a different problem the other day, hard race tyres didn't last 8 laps of Spa and the drop off (at like 25% of tyre remaining) was insane - it's a bit annoying there's no indication of how long they'll last like the fuel.

The fuel estimate has gone squiffy on me a couple of times. Only noticed because the amount it was suggesting for the race looked off compared to the amount need for qualifying
