She is very lacking in hp though, 9 to start with doesn't go far.

I realised that there was already a barbarian companion, so I rolled a Halfling bard instead. His name is Steve, and he is going to attempt romance with everything that breathes.

Big thumbs up for the actual dice rolls for skill checks in this. Nice touch and adds some drama.
I wish combat gave a bit more info around what you were aiming for, rather than just a percentage though. A window showing the enemy AC plus your bonuses etc would just a bit more useful.
My guy is a bard who is just out for himself and sexy times with non-humans. He doesn’t appear to be particularly useful at anything else though.

I have gone wood elf ranger. I usually play rogues but the presence of an origin character who is a rogue made me reconsider. Not sure what I feel about the origin character idea. larian recomend rolling your own char but I want to use all of the origin characters in my party to descover their backstories and do not want to double up on class with my main.

You can right click and "Examine" to see detailed stats (of anything, not just enemies). Doesn't do the math for you, but at least it will give an idea of what they're weak and strong against. |

I always wondered what sort of cunts play bards. Now I know. My reasoning was that they have all the useful skills for being a front for the party, but also have access to all the fun stuff that's finally part of a cRPG like talk to animals, disguise self etc. |

A level 12 cap feels very weird these days. I need my numbers to keep going up! I assume it will go up if/when they release DLC. But 12 is a decent number, you still get a lot of the fun spells. It's DnD based, I wouldn't expect it to go higher than 20 even with DLC, tbh. That said (achievement spoilers) apparently there's an achievement for your character to multiclass to every class in one playthrough without using respeccing... Meaning you have to take one single level in each of the 12 classes, and anyone that's dabbled in DnD doesn't need me to say anything else to start laughing  |

Fuck, if this isn’t out on Xbox by Xmas my kids are getting a PS5 from Santa…. Supposedly technical issues holding it up, but someone upthead had it running on a 2070 and starchild apparently has it running it running on a potato, so god knows what's going on there. |

I had it running at 4k on a 1080 and using a controller. Drooped it to 1080p in the end though.

Decided to change from ranger to paladin so started again with a female high elf paladin. I aimed to make a male but somehow ended up female with a male voice. Now I find it cannot be changed!

I don’t think the Mac version is out until September, same as the PS5. I’m also tempted to try it on my company MBP as I don’t have a PC (or PS5) to play it on. Yeah, you can buy it now, but you would be able to use it, which the store doesn't really make clear. |

I’ve got it running at 1080p on Medium on a laptop that must be about 10 years old with a GTX 1050, and not even the Ti variety. It ain’t perfect and certainly isn’t consistent but is more than playable and runs surprisingly well. So if they can’t get this shit running on a Series S, hire me and let me piss about with the settings for a bit. |
