PS/ Am I the only one who is incapable of spelling 'nightmare' (as in the dream) because of this show?

I enjoyed that retrospective too. So many great memories from that show.

The thing I took away from it was how the makers insisted that they couldn't bring back the show without it incorporating some kind of VR, but actually that couldn't be farther from the truth. The brilliance of Knightmare was it's asymmetry, with the Dungeoneer relying on his team to be his eyes. Giving them any kind of vision past where they were stepping or picking up changed it from being a team game to watching someone play a game by themselves. The closest paralell in recent years was probably "Keep Talking or Everyone Explodes."

Knightmare would still work today - the format doesn't need changing, the graphics just need an upgrade.

Dunno those ones specifically, but I assume they're the car themed ones. There are hundreds of 'power rangers' super sentai shows, and they need to bring out a new iteration at least once a year so they can sell a whole new range of toys to the kids. Each one tends to have a 'theme'. Bugs. Cars. Etc..
