The scene near the end of the movie Angel Heart, with a young Mickey Rourke and Robert De Niro (Big spoilers if you haven't seen the movie yet): m.youtube.com/watch?v=pEUUS_kjI4k. It's just brilliant, great acting and a really sinister reveal of just about everything that has been going on throughout the film.

The only thing that spoils the end of Angel Heart is those stupid contact lens effects. It doesn't need them, De Niro is already sinister enough.
Otherwise, Angel Heart is brilliant and there should be more supernatural noir films. Lord of Illusions was a real waste of potential, Barker could have made some great Harry D'Amour movies.

The Long Goodbye. The scene where Gould visits Sterling Hayden's house after 'saving' him and they drink Akvavit with the beach in the background. That and the house party scene.

One of my favourite scottish film spiels ever. You can take Aussie Mel's 'freedom' speech pish, but you'll never take our 'it's shite being scottish'!

The opening sequence of The Spy Who Loved Me. "Oh my god, he's going to die, James Bond is going to die!!!" Clang, clang a Lang a lang a Lang....

We've been watching all Jurassic Park films with the kids recently, the T-rex attack in the first is still absolutely top tier, incredible stuff. The kids sat there in proper jaw-dropped stoney silence through the whole scene, which is rare!

On an Infinity Saga rewatch right now, and the scene during the final fight in Avengers 1, where all the heroes stand together in a circle, the camera panning around them, with the Avengers theme playing… goosebumps.

A few that spring to mind:
The "He gets on base" scene from Moneyball (could have picked half a dozen scenes from this movie)
Anton Chigurh tends to his leg wound in No Country for Old Men (again, could have picked half a dozen scenes)
Fight among the waves scene in Blade Runner 2049 - Roger Deakins FTW

Must rewatch Layer Cake, great film. There's a scene in The Drop that's masterful, but only really makes sense if you know what's gone before it Great film, worth watching if you haven't seen it

Why does he start saying big and then change it to great, and why did they leave it in?

I just rewatched Se7en. Haven't seen it for years, certainly not since Kevin Spacey was (justifiably) cancelled.
The scene in the car on the way to the final revelation is brilliant.

Battle Royale. Scene in the classroom while they’re watching the instructional video. Knife in the head.

One of my favourites recently was The Sound of Metal, where Ruben tells Joe about the surgery. So powerful, so real.

Why does he start saying big and then change it to great, and why did they leave it in? Because Pacino ad-libbed it, which is why Hank Azaria is so flummoxed, and Michael Mann (not one for spontaneity usually) liked it so much he kept it in.
