The only next logical name for a relaunch is Home Run.

Ah! A new page means I no longer have to see that tracksuit model every time I open this thread, and then spend time wondering who she is before remembering it's all about the tracksuit.

Goodbye Game Wallet www.eurogamer.net/game-to-end-in-store-pre-orders"According to an internal memo seen by Eurogamer, the ability to add store credit and gift cards to your virtual GAME Wallet will be switched off next month. In a week's time, on 18th July, GAME Wallet customers will no longer be able to add new funds or gift cards. After 21st August, all GAME Wallet accounts will be closed."

Glad i saw people talking about this as i haven't seen anything from GAME at all, i'll have to check my email again.
Anything worth spending my wallet money on? I've £156 on my GAME Wallet that i've had for years lol Probably looking at getting a couple of Switch games with it i suppose as i only have PS4, Switch and PC.

They have just had another rather large round of redundancies. Not sure if it's hit the news yet.

At this point why do they even exist?

They seem to be a rounding error on Sports Direct's accounts at the moment, apparently the pre-orders that were still suppose fulfil are rather hit and miss.

I went into a local branch* last Monday, to see how much they were charging for Outer Wilds (which only came out the previous week). The guy in the shop said they hadn't received any copies, alluding to issues with stock allocation, and said he doubted they'd be getting it at all.
* By which I mean, a tiny concession in the basement of a Sports Direct.

Went in yesterday as we were in town. They didn’t have Astro Bot.. and I overheard the guy saying no shipment of Space Marines for Monday either.
This was a ‘big’ normal GAME as well. Not Sports Direct.

On top of all the other reasons to steer clear of GAME, they charge £4.99 for home delivery and the same amount for store delivery?
How are they still in business?

Mike Ashley. For both being and business and charging a fiver for store and home delivery.

Yeah, it’s not game, it’s the standard Fraser Group charge for anything.

In fairness, it's not all bad - if you spend over £100 (excluding delivery), you get a £5 voucher to spend in-store on a subsequent purchase!

That isn’t bad. You’d get three pairs of Lonsdale trainers for that.
