Yeah, fuck cancer. Hope she’s left in peace to complete her chemo. She’ll have the best treatment in the World, but it’s awful news for a young Mum with three young children, whoever they are.

Awful, but not terribly surprising either given the op, which sounded the big one for women (or one of them).

Maybe the AP might rethink what to call a Kill Notification in light of this...

I think kill notice is an industry standard term not just AP getting dramatic.
The cancer news coupled with what sounded like big abdominal surgery doesn’t sound like one of the ‘minor’ ones. For all the privilege they’ve got its sad that kids that young could have a mam that sick. She’s no age herself either.

They didn't really help themselves with all the weirdness. Sure it was to protect the kids in some way but if they were honest at the beginning it would have stopped all the nonsense.
They live a life in the public eye and do very well from it. Can't then expect people to not ask questions when they go radio silence.
Hopefully she recovers without any issues and sounds like it's preventative. So fingers crossed.

Being honest with the public from the start is all well and good until your kids find out from someone else what’s going on with mummy

If nothing else, this country is so weird that they only get checked out when someone famous is ill so between the two of them they will probably save a lot of lives.

As above hopefully pushing people to get themselves checked. Or just not say anything but give a bit more than what they did. Maybe I am being harsh but feel alot of the craziness is a little self inflicted. Nature of the beast being such a public figure I guess.

I think you’re underestimating how hard it is for someone to get that news and process it, let alone then having to share it with the world.

I'm afraid I'll need photos of the cancer, just to make sure they're not AI generated.

I got the 'full story' of my Mum's illness from a kid in the street. So, yeah, it fucks you up.
I can't blame my Dad he was in pieces and tried to keep it straight without the specifics. Advice from extended family to 'protect the kiddies' also could have been better thought out.
Cancer experiences 43 years ago were much more taboo than today but still needs care and privacy. So yes, feel for them all on a deeply human level and hope they find the strength and good fortune to get through this. Maybe the advice they got was equally misjudged, if well intentioned.

Fuck cancer
It’s maddening how random it is. I’d bet good money on Kate never having smoked a cigarette in her life and only occasionally having the odd glass of Babysham. It’s not fair.
I was secretly hoping the message would just start with her going “Oh will you cunts just FUCK off!!!”

Sorry for your experiences barchetta, that’s horrible.
As to the comments about ‘if they’d been straight from the start with the public they’d have avoided the conspiracies’ narr, nobody is owed sh*t there. These aren’t characters in a soap opera or Big Brother, and like any celebrity, all the audience is ‘owed’ as a transaction is what happens when they are on duties/performing/whatever you wanna call it. It’s a real family and they should be afforded privacy without explaining any reasons behind that.
Fuck cancer.

Future Queen of the country has a serious illness?
As much as some might not care about the royals, it probably does.

Sounds like they only got the diagnosis less than a month ago (Wills pulled out of a thing at the end of Feb). That's not long tbh. Edit: late as ever. And sorry barchetta. That must have been rough as.
