Started this yesterday, but only just. Went to the canteen & was summoned to see the heid bummer. Stopped as I was heading outside to do so.
That in itself took ages as i had to look everywhere i could and speak to everyone i could. These kind of games are a disaster for me. And I still usually miss some secrets/stuff.

Just started it and played a little bit past that. Excellent acting so far.
It felt pretty amusing to play two games back to back that make liberal use of the word cunt. (well technically I played a bit of little kitty big city, which sadly didn't)

Well, played a bit more last night and, uh, things have taken a turn. Liking it a lot, the wind and swell around the rig seems really well done and it is very atmospheric.
Done the first stealth bit and got back to accommodation block. Sadly not getting much time for it as I need to wait to get the tv all to myself and then end up being tired, but I will plug away at it in small chunks until the weekend.
Voice acting is great.

I enjoyed it a lot - rare to have the time or interest to finish it in a single sitting but I did - thought felt like shit the next day - 3am finishes don't sit so easily with me anymore!
Had me thinking I ought to give that Amazon TV series another bash. Felt a little cheesy but perhaps worth the benefit of the doubt.

barchetta I presume you're referring to The Rig? There were a few moments where it didn't quite land for me or the CG made itself apparent, but on the whole I thoroughly enjoyed it. Apparently a second series coming too, and I'll be all over that.

I'm sure it'd be a cracking game for the darker winter nights with headphones on and when I'm more in the mood for something like this, so I'll probably just shelve it for now. |

Ok, so trots is not so friendly now.
Back outside and it's... Misty. And creepy.
Nice. Lack of climbing or jumping over little boxes is a bit 😕 though. I know why they're doing it, but it is rather linear.
Still enjoying the atmosphere though. And the chat makes me feel right at home. 😀

Finished this the other day, appreciated it's brevity after the last few games taking 20+ hours to complete. Loved the dialogue, more games with Scottish characters/settings please! Story in the end felt a little flat but could be my fault as I was expecting some kind of twist. Also didn't find it too creepy, which is unusual for me as I'm usually a right fanny with horror games. The perfect Game Pass game IMO. |

I've just finished this and I enjoyed my time with it, great graphics and the oil rig proved to be a great setting for a horror game. Good mix of stealth, chases and platforming, never got frustrated because I didn't die too often. It wasn't that scary but rather disturbing and gory in my opinion.
In terms of flaws, it's very linear and fairly short but honestly, I can appreciate that nowadays, it's a good contrast to the many other open-world types of games that require a much bigger time commitment from me.

I'm still slowly plodding through this. Met the main character's bette noir, who's still an arsehole. Died a few times there, trying to work out where to go.
Currently lurking back in engineering to get the generators going again.
Slow progress due to time constraints, but I am really enjoying my time with it. Not really being able to run or jump over some stuff is becoming a smidge tedious though.

I'm finding that bit weirdly refreshing. I'm playing this game like I'd watch a film - each time I put it on I just want to get on with it, and it's got rid of my "oo, what could be over there" ocd. That and a lack of weapon and I just want to go through it and see what happens

I finished this last night. Pretty good! I thought the final act both went on too long and was also quite abrupt . Great atmosphere and satisfyingly clunky hardware to operate. |
