Wasn't Eddie Howe appointed by the Saudis and is therefore their man?
I've never really got the Mark Hughes comparison as Hughes was already in situ when the Abu Dhabi lot bought the club so surely Steve Bruce is the equivalent?
In any case, Tuchel is a clear upgrade (at least in terms of CV), even if Howe has done a respectable job.

Ha. Amazing. Even better if it's Ronaldo on the floor.

Maybe that'll go better than the acclaimed 'Pogback' to Juve.

What was it he said in his documentary? That he was gonna prove Utd wrong for offering him a £300k a week contract? Hmm.

Well if he started being able to shoot 35 yard worldies with a bowling ball and lift a team mate over his head one handed that would’ve totally shown them

That is a weird one, I don't think I've ever seen a ref blow the full time whistle when the ball is in a goal scoring opportunity like that. Still, couldn't happen to a nicer club

Looks like they'd already played the allotted stoppage time (and then some). Not sure Real Madrid can have many complaints tbh.

Yeah feels unfair because its not normally the done thing but it is perfectly within the rules

Incredible playing conditions, reminds me of some of the places we went away to when I was playing for kids sides in the hills of County Durham.
Lovely to see the orange ball make an appearance.

Loved it when the orange ball came out! Great fun. Preferred playing in the pouring rain to anything - so many great sliding tackle opportunities. Snow was ok but worst was icy pitches. No good for my glass ankles.

Playing in rain is always good. Snow not so much. Hail is the worst.
As a spectator I’m a big fan of any weather condition that causes the ball to stop dead on the pitch after a player has tried playing a pass or shooting.

Sheepshit. Cold frozen rock-hard pitches, sloped due to being on the side of a hill (hopefully the wind would cancel out the slope a bit on some days), riddled with warm sheepshit. They were the worst. And you'd get beaten by a team you would normally destroy due to it being normal for them.
I'm not sure why I miss that, but I do.

Yeah, felt very futile for one half. Barely made it over halfway a lot of the time.
