Anyone else a bit whelmed by the news? Think it would be more exciting to join a club on the brink of greatness, like Arsenal and see if he can prove to be the star player that can elevate a team. But he's joining the best club around right now, with very very good players supporting him like Bellingham, Vinicus Jr, Camavinga... He'll be great there and there is interest to see how he does and he's wanted to play for them since he was a kid so fair enough. But yeh, seems a bit boring maybe.

Uruguay vs Brazil in the Copa America quarter final tonight. Also known as Bielsa vs Raphinha in the “how the fuck did Leeds get them?” derby.
With Uruguay, Panama and Canada there are three recent Leeds managers in the Copa quarters, which is a bit odd.

I would expect his punishment to be fair worse than Cantonas, he tried to throw a chair into the fans and had a full on ruck.

Those angles make it look even worse. Launching yourself several rows deep into the crowd to go hit people whilst scared women and children look on is really bad.
I'm sure there was provocation of some sort but his solicitor will need to be phenomenally good.

I watched this match, and it was fucking awful. Argentina just dived all game any time a Canadian played came near them, and the ref was lapping it up. It was being played in an NFL stadium, and I think NFL is less stop start than the match was. Easily the worst Semi Final I've ever seen. The level in Copa America must be so low if Canada fielding a number of MLS players got to the semi final. |
