That can lead a discussion maybe
What's everyone's favorite and least favorite DC games, Arkham excluded?
I quite liked the Batman games Konami made for the Super Nintendo. Both Batman Returns and The Adventures of Batman & Robin were quite good, I though.
The Acclaim stuff was garbage. Batman Forever, blegh.
actually fuck it, go ahead and say the Arkham games. Each is a bit different from the last, and not all design changes were for the better

Have there even been any decent ones aside from Injustice? OG Arkham Asylum for me for the tighter map which worked so much better with the Metroidvania bits.

My favourite was probably Asylum as it was very tightly done, the least is City. Knight was good primarily as it looked and still looks fucking brilliant. Wasn't a fan of the batmobile and the padding of superfluous shit.

The Telltale games weren't bad even if they did take some ludicrous liberties.
And Knight on a decent PC still looks stunning today. The rain effects haven't been bettered in my opinion.

Wasn't a fan of the batmobile and the padding of superfluous shit. Agree, though I'd put Origins above Knight. Sorry, Oranges. Not sure if I'd go Oranges or Asylum. They're both good in their way, but I hated City. Knight told a good story, even if it was blatantly obvious who the Arkham Knight was from the beginning. Its big issues are the Bat-tank missions. Combat, bosses, tank-stealth, all of it. Just driving is nice, though. Death and Return of Superman on the Super Nintendo was pretty good too, I thought. And the Superman arcade game. I think I just really like Final Fight-esque beat em ups.

It's a shame that a modern superman game is practically an impossibility.

I didn't fully hate the Supes Returns game on 360. It was balls overall but it had a handful of fun things - flying around and breaking the sound barrier didn't get old, and that the concept of health was damage to the city meant you could be full Supes without it being easy mode.

Yeah, it relies entirely on getting the flight to feel good. I have to imagine it's possible if they just write or adapt a good story though. Have one of the bigger villains like Brainiac or Darkseid invade Metropolis. That'd keep some of the god-level powers Supes has in check.

But then something like health just doesn't work in a superman game unless it's the health of the city as gremmi says. But that's quite an inelegant way of doing things especially as that kind of thing can be annoying for the player.

Wasn't that the Superman game that started playing the John WIlliams score when you started flying around?

He commits suicide at the start and we have to listen to his horribly dull acoustic album on repeat for the rest of time? Hopefully Lois Lane will be like Courtney Love.

I'll spoiler tag this but it's pretty much been all over the internet, so it must be true. Rumours are they are have had test screening two versions of The Batman. One with he Joker played by Barry Keoghan and one without Very interesting choice of actor if true.

Bravo! No sarcasm, I love it. That's an amazing takedown of an awful lot of modern Joker looks. Really, any Joker after about 2000 who isn't modeled on the BtAS Joker is probably at least approaching "incel chic". Leto Joker was full-on.

Am fairly sure I suggested Barry as one of my preferred choices, based on his performances in Killing of a Sacred Deer and American Animals.

It looks good, but it isn't as exciting for me as the last trailer. That felt like a new take on the Batman movie, where this feels like a new Batman movie. Still good, I'm still in, but it could fit into any of the previous Batflicks.
