I really should play Gears of War again. That's at least 3 or 4 games since I last bothered.

That made me laugh, I researched exactly how to go about starting a similar thing in Oz. Not worth the trouble I´d say.

Why did my mind instantly think that Rod Hull *must* have been involved in that war somehow.

Apparently, the driver is pretty well known in Malmsbury as a wrong un, so this seems fitting.

So no one is going to want to live within a ten mile radius of either side of that city.

Over the past 24 hours, Saudi Arabia had 2 quakes of magnitude 3.0+, the largest largest being a 3.7 quake. Look up quakes in the past 30 days!
Quakes since 1900: 1 quake above magnitude 7 30 quakes between magnitude 6 and 7 397 quakes between magnitude 5 and 6

If you have ever been in a moving vehicle in the middle east, you'll know just horrific that idea really is. Carnage awaits.

Ah right. I've been on tourist trips and had a drive in Jordan. Seemed fine. The drive was a tad more interesting than Surrey, but no worse than London

The drive was a tad more interesting than Surrey, but no worse than London On the drive to the office the first morning in Riyadh (roughly 40 minutes) we saw 14 accidents or their aftermath. Several of them pretty damn serious. Tbh, we got to Amman at night and left the same and other than that, just sat by the pool, so I can't compare. But Saudi is... interesting. People driving reading the newspaper, like "insh'allah, I get there". In 3 dimensions? Yeah, fuck that.

I thought Neom was supposed to be modular? That doesn't look modular.
Wouldn't it make more sense to do it in a square shape, or a circle? Cos if your mate lives at the other end it's gonna take a while to get over to his house.

Cos if your mate lives at the other end it's gonna take a while to get over to his house. According to the PR video, the infrastructure means you can get end to end in 20 minutes, via high speed rail. I still just can't help but imagine it falling into disrepair and becoming, despite all best intentions, a bit of a slum. Maybe I've taken on board too much dystopic fiction.
