Made a logo if you want it they all are transparent.Also made a new favicon:  Simple minds, but looks familiar

I'm not sure leaning so heavily on this being the new EG is such a wise idea going forward. The old forum was dying and if we can't attract new blood, so will this.
Opening up with a bunch of in-jokes might not be the most welcoming thing.

'The eurogamers exile forum' text still sits awkwardly underneath the rest, but I don't know what it needs to remedy it. It is quite prominent in some variations too.
There is too much thick luscious hair on show on the graphic too if it's meant to represent us.

Both points are valid though. While I also expect it’s essentially going to be a “local pub” for EG regulards, there’s no need to mention the EG history in the site itself. We all know what it is. Most people that visit EG didn’t know about the forum and in two weeks there will be nothing to know about anyway.

When I was in the EG Destiny Group (PS4) I think our leader got a message from EG saying we needed to rebrand and completely separate / disassociate ourselves from EG. Even though the EG Forum was the main places we recruited from. The same will likely be true of this Forum.

What about all the people who try typing "don't feel so good" into Google but mistype it a little?...
I'd say get rid of the tagline or change it to "EG" just to avoid any potential drama, regardless of how unlikely it is.

If you're expecting an influx of new people to a random Font Geek forum you're going to be extremely disappointed. And I don't think not making any in jokes is going to help us there.

It was getting better the quieter it got...Except for Manuel, he was ok. Generally, anyone new who starts to post is generally told to fuck off / made to feel unwelcome - its a rite of passage
Anyway I like the logo stuff nice work Horizon.

The forum has been pretty stable for the last 5 years or so, I don’t get Tonkas obsession that it’s dying but I don’t understand many of Tonkas obsessions tbf

I don't think new posters were made to feel unwelcome if they dived straight in, it was just a rite of passage to show no mercy if they did as-instructed and created a new thread to say hi. I don't have a very good memory of who's posted what apart from the mega long-timers with posts in the several thousand at the other place -for all I know half of you fucks could be new here

The fact that this new one is just as busy with a fraction of the users indicates that it was only ever a certain volume that posted. I wouldn't even say the EG one had quietened down that much in the 10 years or so I perused it anyway. Pretty soon everyone who is going to come over here will be here and it will pretty much continue as it was I reckon.
For about 10-20 years until we all start to die of old age obviously.
