I can't pretend I've watched Italian football with any regularity since James Richardson's dulcet times kept me glued to Channel 4. But the fact this team only finished 5th in their respective league is pretty shocking if they play anything like this normally. They are quality.

Hell of a game to have your first loss of the season in...

Only caught the second half but felt like the game was done from the kick off. Perfection to the point it was almost boring to watch but great effort obviously.

Only watched the 2nd half too but reminded me a lot of Gazetta

Larne qualified to the Conference League getting £2m from it which is absolutely huge money for a club from the N Irish league. I don't know if it's necessarily as good for the league as people claim tho. Larne have had some serious investment from Purple Bricks to buy the elite players and all this will do is just further cement the gap that they and Linfield have over the rest of the league who just can't compete as many are only semi-pro.
Still, congrats to them. Larne potentially playing Chelsea is a funny idea.

That was a shit performance tonight, Bruno especially. Should be dropped for the Spurs game off the back of that.
Not sure what's wrong with him this season, seems to have completely forgotten the basics and is just a succession of Hollywood balls that just aren't coming off.
Easily the most frustrating game this season.

Easily the most frustrating game this season. Very frustrating night, Bruno was poor and I'm a huge Bruno man but yep, really struggled out there. We stopped playing second half for some reason. Very poor but should never lose that game, horrific individual error by eriksen after terrible individual error by Maguire. It's just extra annoying because there was so much control and some decent football in the first half and we just didn't capitalize on that as a platform for the second half and to them go on and conceded a 23/24 season like comedy goal heaps loads of pressure on the team after a game that should have been a mildly annoying lacklustre win

Yeah very very poor. Their defense was mostly 20 year olds who had never played in Europe, and we managed to make them look like a prime Milan.
Calamity of schoolboy errors for their goal. Onana hardly covered himself in glory either getting easily beaten near post. Hardly his fault considering the trash play from Maguire and Eriksen, but a better keeper saves that.

I don’t necessarily agree about Onana there. My memory is that it was a bit of a screamer out of nowhere.
Bruno is run ragged IMO. I think I’ve seen about two games over the last two seasons where he was rested. Let’s also not forget that even then, he had a pretty bloody good shot on target that could have clinched it.
I hate to say it but Zirk isn’t looking terribly convincing yet.
Edit - and whatever happened, I have to mention that Amad keeps making me happy. He’s like the little engine that could. Fantastic attitude and effort every time.

As an aside, Troy Parrott rebuilding his career with AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands is a nice story (to me at least). So many Irish hopes and dreams pinned on him, maybe unfairly, from around the age of 15/16, only for it to not work out at Spurs, but he's looking happy to be playing the game again now and finding some form. Maybe he's found his level or maybe there's even more to come but it's good to see him looking right again.

United - nothing has changed, nothing is going to change. Got a fairly rough run of games coming up... Spurs, Porto, Villa.
Ten Hag could be gone before Brentford at this rate and fucking Southgate is waiting in the wings.

Ffs.
Silly from Drag. To be fair he had no options but once caught he might as well of let him go and take your chances. Not worth a red at this stage of the game.

This is one of those situations where it pays to be a little more conservative, but Ange won’t change it.
Gray looks good but he’s getting overloaded on that side.

A little pragmatism would go a long way in the second half

How the hell are we winning this 3-0 Gave them chances but we been decent on the ball (to some extent, sloppy in our own half at times). Could be 3-3 but we been good value for our goals. If that makes sense.

Yeah very strange game. Makes a change from the Conte era of holding on to a 1-0 defeat to Milan.
