Has anyone played Robocop at all? Looks like a good price in the current sale, however I'm reading that there's an issue with the cutscenes. Can anyone confirm?

I rinsed it on Series X last year. Lots of AA jank in there but the experience was very memorable, visceral, and fun! If the price is right there’s more than enough there for fans of the movie. Just give it a while to sink its teeth into you and forgive it the jank. It’s worth it.

Phattso just perfectly described a night with me.
Book early to avoid disappointment (that comes later).

Robocop was one of the best FPS games single player games I'd played this generation.

Is it actually an FPS? It didn’t look very FPSey in the trailers

Is it actually an FPS? It didn’t look very FPSey in the trailers It is. There are semi open areas where you do investigations and shit, and then traditional linear shooter levels as well. They take in all the locations you’d want them to take in. Worth twenty squids of anyone’s money.

An update on fangate for all of you who were so desperately waiting for the latest.
Sony refunded me for my pro with no squibbles, so I wandered off to eBay and grabbed a used phat model which greeted me with an absolutely overpowering blast of curry scents when I powered it on. Oh, and some annoying fan noise too! Nowhere near as bad as the pro, but still quite noticeable with something on low volume.
Grabbed a replacement fan for it (it came with the 17 blade Nidec one which seems to be regarded as the worst of the lot) and gave it a well needed dusting and it's now almost at the noise levels of my launch one.
Fucking hell, I really wish I'd just held on to my original one! I'm sure I'll learn absolutely nothing from this experience.

Is curry powder in the fan like putting sawdust in the gearbox of a used motor

In hindsight I suppose it has the coil noise some people dread. Maybe I finally found a positive in my hearing loss/tenditis. But maybe its because I am literally surrounded by fan noise. I have these tiny ones below my radiators to reduce heat waste which reduce my overall gas bill by a whopping 20%. Downside? I hear constant noise from my fans. Some of guests are shocked how I shrug it off.

I am concerned about all the bad pro patches coming from EA/Ubi/Activision. I dont play most of their games but the way they have been patched without a ps5 mode is not good.
At the moment out of all games with issues, I hope Star Wars: Jedi survivor and Alan Wake 2 get fixed.
I have played some ps4 games that got mostly fixed by the pro that noone writes about. Trails into daybreak had framerate issues and stutter which are now fixed. Atelier Ryza 2 in 4k is now mostly locked but still has drops and minor stutters in busy areas

I am pleased to see articles (EG) and comments (dotted around) regarding PS Stores current largely woeful Black Friday deals which are being widely undercut by physical game deals from multiple retailers.
It saddens me that this still won’t buck the inevitable trend towards a digital only future or a limited and costly physical drive option one but everyone with drives keep prioritising physical media sales as much as makes sense!
I understand the arguments against but gaming is already on the verge of being prohibitively expensive and this type of high price locked digital future needs to be pushed back against.
Unto the breach my friends 😜

To the breach my friends 😜 Yeah these sales are one of the worst in memory. Maybe if Sony is forced to open up other stores on their devices it could improve in the future? I am still 90% physical these days. I waited for a baldurs gate 3 physical edition for example. That first PSN hack also wiped away half my PS3 games so been really cautious with digital ever since.

Just received my Chroma Pearl PS5 controller. Really is a rather lovely thing.
