Yeah, it was from TGC. Hopefully, I'll get a dispatch note soon

TGC used to be great for dispatching a few days before release, but only sneakily sending the dispatch email the day before release. Don't think they do it as much these days though... Had one game arrive on the Friday before a Tuesday release IIRC.

Like the good old days of Shopto when it was a good price and you got it early.

They're still there just not as good as they used to be.

Something must have happened though - they went from super quick + cheap to really slow and pricey
I've just logged in. Last game I bought was luigi's mansion, for 39 quid, back in 2019
They have dead space in for £65.85.

Shopto occasionally have decent prices and pop up on HUKD. Fire Emblem Engage for £39 is my latest purchase from them and arrived on time.
They're also pretty good for cheap PSN credit.

Due to avoiding most of the copious footage online... I hadn't realised they'd swapped in a new main character, Isaac doesn't even look like Isaac anymore.
That's Ivor Klack, Welsh zero-G toilet unclogging specialist 3rd class, not Isaac Clarke.
A deal breaker, even if they keep the bucket on his head 99% of the time like the original (which they won't, if he's talking he's de-bucketing any time he's feeling verbose).
£5 pickup from the pre-smegged game bin.

What the fuck, there's a global release time?! What bullshit is this, 4pm in Britain??? DS should only be played in the dark ? I have bought a disc version on this occasion, but assuming Amazon do delivery tomorrow I'm at work until 20:00 anyway. I have ordered Harry P digital though, so will play asap when it unlocks on 10th.

Taken from a user on the Cane and Rinse forum who has the game early:
"Well the opening couple of hours of Dead Space remake are the most impressive I have experienced in a game in a long time. The atmosphere and world building reminds me of Bioshock.
There was a real cool moment where I got into a room I thought was safe just as 3 monsters were chasing after me and I shut the door in their face just in time. But then the 3 of them started to move away from the door and next thing I know they're crawling through the air vent behind me in the room I was in, I soiled my pants!"
You know what to crank.

TBF wasn't that always a feature of the game back in the day? Don't get me wrong though my ass temps are cranked to dangerous levels.

It's been such a long time I honestly can't remember.
More hyped for the first sentence regarding world building and atmosphere!

Yeah I think it was, but I'm looking forward to some next gen sound design more than anything. The original fucked me up with its sounds, I was always looking behind my shoulder when I used to play this in the dark back in the day.

Can't remember them ever coming through the vents in a closed room.

@derbs I would think pretty much 9's across the board, maybe an 8 or two, not that it matters I think a lot of us would be getting no matter the score. See also Hogwarts. a good couple of weeks for sure, I will need to put Elex II on the back burner I feel.

It looks cool, but definitely waiting for a sale. 70 quid to play Dead Space again but shiner feels a bit mental.

I don't really get the appeal of Hogwarts? Don't get me wrong, it looks fine and the latest previews are interesting - I may play it - but I never would have expected it to be a surefire thing, especially without reviews. There's no previous game pedigree.
I didn't think HP was that popular with 40-50 year olds.

People in their 40s definitely. If you grew up reading the books in your late teens/early twenties you'd be a 40+ year old miserable old fucker of a HP fan now.
I never read them, so I'm just a regular miserable old bastard.

There are people our age that still act as though wrestling is real so its not a huge suprise that there are people into all the wizard shit as well.

I'm mid-30s and was definitely looking forward Hogwarts Legacy (particularly mooching around the castle itself) until I saw some actual gameplay and it seemed unfortunately bang average.
Find it surprising that I've seen a lot of sentiment on this forum that people should've grown out of Harry Potter by now but still actively talk Star Wars, Lego, comic books and the like.

I would guess the reason for that is that Harry Potter is firmly centered around being a child/teenager in school, whereas the rest cater a little wider? It's not my angle though. I only ever read the first book and like the movies well enough (I own them, though have only watched them all once). I just thought it was a slightly younger age group that really latched onto it (I'm 41). And more so that, to my knowledge, it's never been translated very well to gaming (yet).

The amount of grown ass adults who I'd see in the cinema, myself included, plus the books with their "made for adults covers" should tell you the property is very much a thing that adults love.
