Out of interest, why aren't you in favour?

Bah. One of the best things about Wombletown is the weird traditions, I rather hoped they'd stick with eyeballing it until the heat death of the universe

That's certainly a valid argument although where do you draw the line (pun intended)?
It's merely the latest innovation in a sequence that includes the retractable roof, floodlights, player challenges, umpire scoring tablet, electronic scoreboards, cyclops, net device, speed guns, graphite composite rackets, yellow balls and short trousers.
Really the only aspects that haven't changed are whites, grass and the post code.

Cliff singing was the main reason the roofs got funded.

Out of interest, why aren't you in favour? Who are the poor players going to complain about when losing?

Gutted he's going but like you say, inevitable. Deserved a massive send-off at the majors.
Great example of how you can be the absolute best in your field/sport and not be a complete prick at the same time.

That's a shame.
I'm by no means the biggest tennis fan/expert, but I do watch occasionally and I always liked Nadal (unlike Djokovic and, to a lesser extent, Federer).

Never heard a bad word said about Rafa. Really made an immediate impression with his piratas and lefty cannon. Amazing how (unlike many other clay specialists of the previous era) he just worked the problem to become the best on grass as well. Stopped the Fed era getting boring.
Without him we'd also probably still be waiting for a Grand Slam winning Brit as losing to him when they were kids is what pushed Andy to move to Spain.
