the first Kona game was ok, quite clunky and bit janky but worth a play.
The second game on GP and its not very fun. got to the big mansion and such awful game design and a chore. Also the bit with the typewriter, on xbox you can't see the keys to type the name to progress despite having the flash light on. Had to look at my keyboard and count the letters to progress! Not sure what to do next as the game is bad at giving hints to do next now

I loved first game so bought the second, what a mistake that was. I reported on here about how shite it was. If there is one thing (other than soulslike/roguelike) I hate is games with obtuse puzzles and shit signposting, Kona 2 has it in spades. I quit and uninstalled after a few hours, like you I think I was stuck in the mansion, such a shame as the first game was excellent.

Thanks for the advice on gamepass renewal. After my Ultimate ended I bought three years' worth of Gold from CD Keys added them to my account, then a month of GP Ultimate on the XBox itself. That converted the the three years of Gold into two years of Ultimate.

Think I'm nearly through Hb2. It's gorgeous, the audio is great, the story is somewhat interesting but my God is it a slog.
I really hope this part is the final part of the the game as I just want done with it but equally want to see it all.

For anyone with a spare 200hrs Octopath Traveller I & II are available!
/may try OT I as a trial for a few hrs to possibly by them in the future as getting half way through and then seeing them de-listed would be very annoying

More like OctoPASS Traveller.
Nah. I did really enjoy the first game. I think I’ve had my fill, though.

Calisro Protocol has just arrived on Gamepass too, ideal Gamepass fodder that.
Was tempted at launch of it wasn't for the slightly dodgy reviews

Not much is leaving gamepass end of this month for 2nd lot of games
FIST is pretty bad metroidvania, I liked the chinese action RPG, "sword and fairy together forever" (terrible name) as it was nice change for different take on fantasy RPG

The forced instafail stealth section in FIST was my quitting point. It wasn't especially good before then.
There are far too many decent meteoidvanias out there to consider wasting time on that.

Stealth sections killed my playthrough of Chants of Senaar. I just hate them. Wait..wait..go..fail..restart. Bah

I can’t remember where I gave up on FIST, but I think it was quite late on. Just found the whole experience to be a bit of a slog. Didn’t like the combat as much as I thought I would.

FIST had bad movement as it felt sluggish and the enemy were faster and could interrupt your moves easily. Also bad level design in parts

Bah The first few weren't too bad, but I'm now on one in the Fortress that has so many sections .... failing one sends you waaaaaay back I do like like translation/language puzzles though, and spotting the patterns

The language and puzzles are fun. It doesn’t need the stealth bits.

It so strange they would add stealth to the CoS, it adds nothing to the game, it feels like they just added to break up the collecting glyphs. Glad I gave up on the game as they fall back on the get spotted and send you way back to pad out the game

I wish they'd gone down the Ubi route and let you play through Luna.

The language and puzzles are fun. It doesn’t need the stealth bits. That is the final one. I didn’t think they were bad, but I also didn’t need to redo much on the couple of failed attempts I had (guess I just got lucky). The rest of the game is so good that I didn’t mind.

After my recent grumblings about Hellblade 2 (which I did finish) and the associated Alan wake 2 discussion I just had to pop in here briefly after starting the night springs DLC.
For the record I think in theory the comparisons are fair and level headed but in reality they're actually utter nonsense and Alan wake 2 is just leagues ahead. I don't know why but it is. I've done nothing but walk around and talk to people, rather slowly, but it just feels right.

If you’ve played Forza Horizon 4 on Game Pass, maybe check your Xbox messages. I had a code for the digital download of the game because it thinks I bought “Premium content” as well as playing it on Game Pass, but I don’t think I did. Anyway my kid will be happy because he prefers FH4 to FH5, and I’ve just redeemed the code to his MS account
