I'm really pleased this is reviewing well! A likely purchase on PC over Christmas for me, I'd imagine for £20 or so given the way PC pricing usually goes.

Lots of high praise is great to see. Always was sold on the concept and presentation but was wondering just if the gameplay would be decent. Guess I'm gonna have to get it and find out. I'm feeling better about it knowing that they're not limiting or shaming you to use all the cool gadgets like in Dishonoured.

Weirdly, it was actually the concept (or perhaps what they'd hinted about the narrative) that put me off a little, despite being a massive Arkane fanboy. Seemed potentially gimmicky, as opposed to the more straight-up narrative of a Dishonored or a Prey etc. So I'm definitely happy it looks to have turned out great  I'll be stealthing and save-scumming my way through it at a glacial pace in no time. |

I usually hate stealth in games but it seems really well done in this. I quite like staying below the radar.

I just read John Linneman saying that the loop prevents save scumming(!!!). I genuinely don't know how I'll cope with that. The quicksave/quickload muscle memory for Arkane titles runs pretty deep.

I've been having a dilemma choosing between buying Tales of Arise and Life is Strange over the last couple of days, then this fucker swoops in with some great first impressions when I had it in my head it was a non starter for me. Fucks sake.

Oh yeah I hate Dishonoured and was it Prey they did too? Urgh. Don’t like the visual style of this either.
Whipped it up in a flash today because of the reviews and boredom of having little else to play on PS5.
It’s a gamble but these reviews really are heaping praise. I liked that GameSpot guy’s review - Tamoor chap - who cited the incredible level design and structure.

I loved Prey, it's a Sci-Fi horror Deus Ex. Dishonoured is just frustrating though, gives you all these cool ways of killing people and wants you to keep people alive.
But yeah, if they have their famous input lag this is really going to be frustrating.

I think it's hard to give proper impressions of a game like this without spoiling so have attempted to be vague. Half the fun is finding shit out.
I don't think I have played an Arkane title before. Might have to check out Dishonored at some point.

That surprises me, I think you would really like both dishonoured games. You don't have to be super stealthy either, I'm always shit at first person stealth games and I've finished both. I did murder almost everyone though.
