They feel cheap and have awful build quality imho.
I've got a pair of SR80i (?) that one of the L/R labels fell off, and had another pair before that where the connection jack developed a fault and became tempremental. I know they're cheaper end of the range, but still.
However I can wear them for hours and that what I do most of my pc gaming with. Maybe I've got a weird head, but I can wear them for longer than my Sony noise cancelling headphones, which get on my tits after a while.
I quite like the sound because, in honesty, I have desotroyed my higher frequency hearing over the years from abuse and I am well old now.
So if you're hearing is fucked and you've go a weird head, get some.

I’ve got a few sets and a couple of decent pairs but my daily drivers are still my Fidelio X2hr. They are like a glove. Nothing comes close to comfort and I can wear them for an entire day without even thinking about it.
Not a critical listening headphone but a good all rounder for listening to all kinds of media.

Got the 325x today. Oh my…I really like the sound and that’s with the standard pads. I’ll leave these on for now. I have the other ones which I can swap to. Sound way better than the SR80i and 125x that I’ve had previously and a great contrast to my 770s.

Man alive! I just managed to score a sound burger but scalpers made it like buying a PS5. Every colour I tried to check out sold out as I was putting my details in until I finally got the black one. Released at 9am every colour other than black was sold out by 9.05.
But, yeah, woo. I wanted one for my desk since they release the last one, so Im pleased.

It actually sounds pretty good. Line in to my headphone amp sounds nice and its decent over bluetooth. Its got me twitching for some better bluetooth headphones, tho...
It is a gadget and its a bit of fun, but it is A Nice Thing for the office.

I'm really liking the high-impedance headphone jack of the new MacBooks. My Beyerdynamics with 250 ohms sound great, without the need for an amp.

Quite sad to discover my Shure Prologue 250 speakers aren't all that good. I thought they'd make nice reference monitors, as that's what they were designed to do, but I think they're just too old and sound kind of muddy and don't have the kind of top end I was hoping for.

From the photos I think the problem is you have two left speakers instead of one of each.

I suspect if you open them up the cones will have perished. Happens with all speakers. It’s not the hardest job in the world to find and fit replacements if they’re speakers you really love.

Hope I can get some advice here on speaker placement - please type slowly and avoid long words!
We are coming into some furniture that will give us a head start on upgrading the living room.
We have considered flipping the orientation of the room which gives us more options in terms of gear but less in terms of sofa space. We would like to upgrade our TV size from 55 to 65”. This will however, if we keep the current orientation, take up the entire space where the current TV and my stereo, turntable and speakers are. The door to the room stops any further expansion.
There is an alcove which a previous occupant knocked through, which runs about 80% the width of the room, which currently houses a sofa we are getting rid of.
The set up could live there with the speakers facing into the room from the right of where I’m sitting now.
However this would mean they would not only be offset, but would be pointing at a large window, which is maybe 7 or 8 feet square. The window has blinds which are made of laminate.
Disregarding the listening angle for now, would this cause some kind of treble frequency hell with the sound waves hitting glass? Would speakers facing the window also make it louder to passers by?
The layout of the room is difficult under any option so anything may be a compromise.
Another consideration is to place the player on the alcove to the right, and then run speaker cable around the skirting and door frame, with the speakers on stands on the same wall as the TV separately. I’m a bit worried about the expense of good speaker cable in that case.

I’m a bit worried about the expense of good speaker cable in that case. Not sure if I quite seeing the layout it from your description, but I'd probably go with the "cable to a better position" than "get annoyed every time you turn it on because it's not quite right".
Wrt to cabling, ymmv but I'm not convinced that spending *silly* money on it makes *that* much difference. I know that's probably audiophile heresy, but meh. *Cheap* cabling is awful (been there done that), and even deaf boy here can tell. You get diminishing returns imho the further up the silly money scale you go in my experience. Fight me.

ChopsenI’ve got QED silver anniversary cable. I think it’s what I would consider mid-price and an actual audiophile would probably consider low-end lol. I certainly noticed a difference from the shite cobweb thin stuff that came with my Denon receiver. We are now talking about wall mounting. It’s something I’ve always wanted to avoid but maybe that’s the price you pay for a stupid sized TV. That would allow me to have the hi fi stuff safely underneath. In fact, I might look into whether a new TV could connect to my receiver, and use my hi fi speakers as a soundbar. Only issue there is the receiver is a few years old and the input is either optical or phono - not sure many new telly’s support this.

Personally I think speaker cable is one of the biggest snake oil parts of the hi-fi chain. I've not seen one properly conducted test proving the need to spend large sums of money, or benefits in doing so, above pretty basic options.
I would definitely spend money on cable to get my speakers where I want them, than compromise on positioning.
Can't confidently answer the question regarding windows, but I would expect you would get some increased reverberation and reflections if pointing directly at them

All sorted now anyway. My modest setup will remain where it is opposite the couch, just on a nicer piece of furniture than it was on (thanks in-laws). The new room layout will involve dragging my Kallax downstairs with the whole collection, which is the best bit. Currently that’s upstairs and I have a DJ case downstairs with a selection. That’s a bit like having a CD in the car though, it never gets changed! Should encourage some solid use now.
It’s hard to say I suppose whether my upgrading the cable made a change as it happened at the same time as upgrading my speakers. The stuff that came packaged with my Denon (it’s an old N9) was really thin and the connections had started to go dodgy. I think decent quality stuff is certainly more durable.
If the capacitance thing is guitarists talk about is a thing in hi fi there may be something to it - if your guitar or patch cables are poor or too long it does audibly cut treble/brightness. Not sure if any actual studies have been done on that but that’s why people buy buffers for their guitar rigs, which I guess is similar to a pre-amp in audio.
