I am pretty concerned about losing to a Calhanoglu direct free kick.

I’m just wondering who’s getting injured first.

Trossard just has to be more technically secure and please can we give the crap floaty crosses a rest too.

That's a foul on the keeper if its the other way around.

Only just noticed Odegaard on the bench lol. That’s good.

Never a penalty. Rule desperately needs changing.

How's Martinez avoided a second yellow for asking for a booking?
Saliba got the ball and not the man so it wasn't a free kick anyway.
Then it's not even one of those hand balls you could reasonably avoid.
Honestly our luck this year is incredible.

What really stings is one of our player's was two hand punched in the head in their box not so long ago. VAR not interested in that.

It's European football, keepers are protected and handball is a lot less lenient
all you can do is shrug

I thought they took proximity into account now and weren’t giving them if it’s been kicked directly into your arm?

We did get a bullshit one ourselves against Shaktar although that wasn't as harsh as tonight.
I'm more annoyed about the free kick in the first place and leniency shown to Martinez.

Joe Cole's moustache actually suits him.

I like the Jesus intro at least we're doing something different.

Arsenal certainly better in this half, nothing to show for it though.

There’s just something fundamentally wrong with our attacking play. Terrible.

Sterling for Martinelli and Nwaneri for Trossard IMO

It's been way better this half, very encouraging. Feels like we've actually started to understand the issues a bit even if we don't get the goal the performance warrants.

The movement and the distances between players in possession are so much better and we've had more zip and penetration.
First half it was classic horseshoe of death. Waiting till after the defence was set to float a cross in towards well marked players in the box.
Not saying second half has been anywhere near our best but it's been more fluid than it's been for a while.

I dunno. I think we’ve lost a bit of that attacking intensity from last season, which is probably down to Odegaard, but Martinelli ain’t bombing down and making the keeper work. Saka is still trying. Jesus I just about give up on him. Havertz is the workhorse.

An annoying thing about this new format is we don't get an opportunity to get them back to our place and return the favour.

Hopefully Odegaard back will inject some life back into the team. Like I said handful of players that have turned up. The rest sort of on life support.

Just not playing Trossard at false 9 should help, he's been rubbish

It's annoying but I'm not too fussed. Unlike at the weekend, we didn't deserve to lose and it was our toughest game of the league stage on paper.
Just a shitty penalty you can't do much about from a dubious FK. Plus thanks to the new format the result doesn't really matter.
Signs that we're sorting our attacking issues with shape changes and Odegaard back. More confident we'll be fine as we get back to the normal structure.
Really hope we draw Inter in the knock outs as there's unfinished business there now. Would be tasty.

Huh. Didn't even get an alert about the goal: just a bunch of wickets in the WIndies/England ODI.

Only caught the last 30 but played ok. Made it a bit too easy with the high balls into the box but seemed like some rhythm was back. No idea really of the impact but win our homes and we'll be fine.
