Daddy long legs are just rubbish though. Soon as you go to grab one and put it outside all their legs fall off. You can't pull their legs off if they're INSIDE you

I don't honestly think they'd have the strength to burst out from inside you. You'd be better off inhaling a few earwigs as well for 'muscle'.
Wonder what it would feel like to basically explode into a cloud of insects. I imagine it would be as satisfying as a massive fart x100.

This chap is keeping me company at work today: And no, I'm not killing him, even though his banter is pish. Would 100% be dead if it was on my watch, whatever it took. I do admit to feeling a faint twinge of shame for killing them now - it's admirable to save them - but I hate them so they have to die

There's a fatality in the newest Mortal Kombat game by the character Dvorah. It is horrifying. Have a look on YouTube, you'll know the one I mean.

Daddy long legs are fucking useless. The bumbling idiot of the insect world. No idea how they ended up with such a kinky name.

I remember that old wives tale that they have the worst venom of any spider but no fangs to use it.
Let's be honest, even if they did I'd still back them to trip over their own stupid derpy legs, losing about 3 of them on one side and then proceed to stumble around in constant circles before they ever got close enough to kill anyone.

I watched a rather large spider climbing up the bedroom wall last night and didn't immediately go for the kill. He looked like he was trying to build a web but somehow managed to fall off. I felt sorry for him and let him go, hopefully he did the right thing for both our sakes and went somewhere else. These walls are clearly too much for him. I named him Wuntyatelegs

The gits are invading several times a day at the moment, just languishing on cupboard doors or on the walls at about eye level. How many examples do I have to make of them.
One built a horrid web like a sheet across the window and just sat there looking shiny and evil. Eurgh.

We get a few various spiders and a small type of tarantula here in Spain, but I've kept tarantulas in the past so I'm not too phased by them. However, I am worried about the escolopendras which we get here, and have occasionally made their way into the house. These can be small, but there's some pretty big fuckers as well and they have two nasty pincers attached to their heads plus with all those legs they're pretty powerful too. Here's some pictures of ones I've caught in the house: Look at that, the biggest one I've caught, it's Lost Izalith Centipede Demon for real! That's a plastic pint glass to give you a sizing of that bad boy. It's not fully extended there either (ooer). I found this beauty lurking under my shower mat... Yeah, lovely experience 😲. Here's a smaller one that came running out from under a living room chair, let's call him mowgli: A lively chap this one, look at him posing! He was harder to catch than the bigger one, as he was scuttling around quite fast. Finally, here's a clear picture from the internet showing the pincers of these things, which is why they worry me. You don't want one of those in your underpants! Sleep tight 😉

I'd much rather encounter a spider than one of those things!
I tend to just ignore spiders and let them do their thing. Sooner or later they disappear. Plus they do a great job keeping other pests numbers down. I've found a fair few daddy long legs corpses wrapped up and discarded lately along with a load of woodlouse husks.
Spiders are great.

The one in the third picture looks like he's got a big horrible grin. Squishing one of those would make such a mess. Probably just do the head and hope the the body parts disappear in puffs of smoke

I spent today watching a spider that's built a webd over my window where I work. I kept seeing small flies getting caught and stuggling for a while before the spider emerged, found them and dragged them back to its larder before repeating the process. He caught loads, so I can see how they get so bloody big. Anyway, it was fascinating watching him / her /it / they / them / whatever you call a woke spider.

clemfandango Haha! I think the things in Wrath of Khaaaaaaaaaan had similar heads but slug-like bodies (blimey, I'd forgotten how horrific that scene actually was for Star Trek). Now I think about it, the ones in my pics did have a major cameo in Sekiro 😁

And Peter Jackson's King Kong.
I'm also sightly ashamed to know that centipedes always fuck everything else up in a fight. Thanks weirdos on YouTube.
