Don't really know how they'll make 2 or 3 look better. They're already some of the best looking games on ps4/ps5

REmake 2 looks fantastic, especially as I've only been playing on Switch for a few months. The sound is also really great
Psyching myself up to play some more of this tonight but finding excuses, like playing ER
I think I enjoy horror games after I've turned them off and can think back to how cool it was rather than when I'm actually playing and am scared

I'm OK as long as things don't get close. That's when I go to peices.

I probably sound like a knob saying this but I don’t get scared in the traditional sense at all playing Resident Evil games. With things that get the adrenaline going like rollercoasters and the like I tend to laugh a lot
Same with RE, that House Beneviento bit had me roaring with laughter as it chased me
Yet I very rarely laugh out loud with comedy. I think my response system got broken at birth

Horror games are the only medium that genuinely frightens me. It's such an odd thing too because I'm in no danger whatsoever, I know this but still I'm terrified.
Generally RE is more anxiety provoking as you're worrying about resources and jump scares but REmake 2 is so dark it gives me the willies. Plus unkillable enemies that chase you, ugh

For me the scares in Resi are more about atmosphere, not knowing whats around the next corner and threat of being outnumbered and under-equipped.
I’m not sure any of the monsters are that scary themselves. Although I’d say the zombies early on and on higher settings in RE2make come close.

I can’t wait until you get to the library It's actually the most annoying bit. Thankfully you can offset it by knowing his trigger, so you can do most of the other stuff before he turns up. I always have to mitigate it by running to the other side of the station, and lose him there before making my way back as quickly and quietly as I can.

I probably don't want to read those posts. No, I'm not reading those posts
Anyway, I think I've achieved my main objective of finding the Chief's desk. Good place to stop

I think I got lucky with X in the library. He just fucked off somewhere while I played with the bookshelves. Had to run back to the storage box to retrieve a grenade for the zombies though - got all three, heh. Although he did nearly kill me there and the zombies were properly in the way, which is why I limped back for health/grenades
Not happy about him coming into the main hall. That's my safe space. Only had a couple of major run ins with him - one in the dark when I was shooting a zombie in my way and he suddenly appeared in my light behind it and he gave me a jump in the garage
Done the boring Sherry bit. I like her shorts though

The sound of his stompy boots still kept me on edge while my view was locked into moving the shelves. He was just next door I think. It was after I went back to the main hall to get supplies. He followed me to the top of the stairs, just stood there for few seconds, turned around and went back to the library. When I went back, he just wasn't there
He also gave me a bit of a scare when I realised he can do ladders

Question for thems in the know (without spoilers please)
I've got as far as heading to the labs and the game is pretty clear that it's a point of no return. I went back to the police station to take care of AOB. I've cleared the place out (everywhere on the map is blue), but there's a couple of places I still can't access (no Club Key, can't access the STARS armoury and no crank for the door near the garage)
Are these things just not accessable for Claire/in this playthough? Am I good to head to the labs? I've also got ammo and kits for weapons I haven't got
I only really want to know if I'm clear to progress. If I've missed anything, I only need to know that I have, no clues or anything
Cheers yo

I think so, there are definitely areas only one character can go. As I don't know what else you've done after the Station, its hard to gauge if you've missed any weapons.
If everything is blue on the map, then you've got everything so free to move on.

Did a rerun though the station without killing any zombies/wasting bullets to clear up and got into the armoury (that'll teach me not to inspect items). Now I've got machine gun

Cleared Claire A. Very good, very good. Final boss was weird - died about 5 times (one of those the clock ran down) but the last time I did it really quickly I got a C, which ain't bad for a first run. Just under 10 hours, 18 saves.
Haven't decided yet if I'm going to go straight onto Leon or take wunty's suggestion and play 3 first for a Jill Sandwich. I kind of want to get back into the police station though

I'd play Leon first to get the full story, then do 3.
More of a Leon sandwich.

Though playing 3 now would give you a more action oriented experience, before going back to 2 for a more puzzles, loads of choices 😊

I started 3 and yeah, completely different pace to REmake 2. Wasn't sure if I should be speeding through or taking my time at first so was getting chomped a lot. Taking my time a bit more now but the music is like "Go! Go! Go!"
Jill's skeleton must be made of titanium

Loved 2 (remake) but haven't bothered with 3 as it seems such a change of pace. How does it stack up generally?

I like taking my time and having a good search but 3 lends itself to playing a little quicker and repeat runs. Clearly they designed it for quicker runs when you see the items you unlock they complement each other well

I can think of a couple of places you're clearly suppose to duck in, grab stuff and get out again. The zombies seem to move quite fast in this as well

Loved 2 (remake) but haven't bothered with 3 as it seems such a change of pace. How does it stack up generally? I hated it as it's so different to the original - especially after the 2nd remake was so good and honoured the original alot more. But after a spell, I played it through again. Then again straight after. Now it's one of my favourites. I play it more often than 2 now.
