Pitiful. Have a man cold, so went to bed early. Woke at 1.30am, stuck it on the radio and sleepily tried to work out how pope and Woakes were in. It's almost comforting though, so many nights like that in the 80s and 90s.

It was an odd team selection. I know they're both getting on but imo, they're either up to it or they're not. And when has any team rested players for a series opener? 2nd Test I could understand.
