I still do wonder how Nintendo has been sitting on F Zero for so long? I mean even a F Zero 99 kind of game in the vein of Tetris 99 would be ridiculous.

Miyamoto basically hates it, and they don't want to farm it out.

Miyamoto hates when other developers do better versions of his IP. In this case, Sega Amusement Vision. He was similarly salty over Rare's Donkey Kong Country/Land series too back in the day.

If we're talking just remasters, then I'd like them to give Quake II and III the same treatment they gave the first game - even moreso, as I want the ray-traced version to come out on Xbox. Similarly, I'd like Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 get remastered following the first C&Cs. If we're on about ground-up remakes/reboots, I'd really like a new Syndicate, but not an FPS. And I still think there's a great, funny game to be made out of Duke Nukem - especially so since the whole industry (and, indeed, popular culture) has left him behind. My only worry is would trade in woefully unfunny jokes about being "woke". I’d play all of these. A proper follow up to Syndicate and Syndicate Wars would be incredible. I think there would still be a market for Duke too but I think you’d need to reclaim the ironic edge it originally had. The later titles and a lot if people seem to take Duke at face value which is odd when its clearly dumb as shit on purpose and thats why it was so funny in the first place.

Didn't they already do a SWOS remake on XBLA years ago? Yes, but it wasn't much of a remaster. It's what really made me think that the game's front-end would need working on, because the menus were really fiddly. I think if you kept the style and overhead camera you could probably update the graphics too, if you wanted to step away from pixel art.

Miyamoto basically hates it, and they don't want to farm it out. Didn't they approach 3rd parties regarding F-Zero on Wii U and get rejected? The game had some kind of presence on Nintendo Land and in Mario Kart 8, so it looked like they were genuinely trying to drum up some enthusiasm for it. Usually, when it comes to dormant IP, Nintendo usually say they want to so something 'new' with it, rather than just upgrade the visuals. Especially if they're not the highest selling IP, like Pikmin, F-Zero, Arms, etc... Its pretty rare, outside of Kirby and perhaps Fire Emblem, that Nintendo are keen to green light regular sequels if they're not selling tens of millions of copies.

Not particularly novel or inventive, as ideas go, but I'd love a remake of The Witcher and a remaster of The Witcher 2 - neither game is playable on PlayStation, the first didn't come to Xbox either, and both are showing their age (especially the original, for obvious reasons). Think about it, CDPR: you can farm the work out to Saber Interactive, so it won't complicate your attempts to fix Cyberpunk, and it'll neatly wrap up Geralt's story before you go back to the well for The Witcher 4 in the hope that everyone will like you again!
Plus, y'know, money.

There was a game on PS1 called Dead Ball Zone. It was like a cyber punk football game like Speedball, but in full 3D. I think it was 5 a side and the camera was quite zoomed in. It was really good, every player had individual stats, strengths and weaknesses and you could play different formations and strategies. It was ridiculously over the top violent, like the players had chainsaws and hidden weapons they could whip out to shank the other side during a tackle. A remake/sequel in current sexeh grafix would be dope asf.

I loved DBZ, I'd be well up for a current gen version. Especially when most of the regular sports games these days are absolute dog shit.

I'd love to see a remaster or remake of the original Grandia on a PS system, myself. I think Nintendo got a version not so long ago but the only version I have that I can play these days is on Vita and it's looking dated as fuck these days.

Body Harvest from the N64. I know its been surpassed by games like GTA but it would be nice to dick about blasting aliens again.

I'd be happy with either a full 3D or 2D remake. The real issue with Grandia is that it runs at one of those resolutions where blocks of pixels were supposed to suggest far more than was actually there on a CRT. What's there is far beyond the capability of an upscaling solution, when an entire character's eye is just a few pixels there's not much that can be done, even with heavy image editing.
The ideal solution is to locate any surviving source artwork and rebuild the entire thing from the ground up, recreating what a CRT once suggested but with the actual visual information there. Or if they're going 3D, tough out the minor backlash and do their best reinterpreting from the original designs, all the mainline Grandia games besides the first used 3D characters rather than sprites so I don't really see it as any sort of sacrilege, it would free up the camera so they could bring the battle system into line with later games and make battle encounters more visually dynamic and interesting,

Alundra would be a good option. I could go for some old school Zelda-lite on my PS5.

My favourite 360 multiplayer title, updated with modern tech and I'd be very happy. Having VR as an option would be lovely too.
Ah yes, FROM Software's most well known title. I enjoyed that back in the day

I completed both of them on the switch last year and loved them both. They hold up surprisingly well. Unlike the ff7 and ff8 which I just couldn't get back into the momentvthe world opens up.

I'm playing Dragon Quest XI on Switch right now and even though there is already a remake of the third game on the way, I want a remake of IX. I love the overhead angles and details of the DS games. Give me those in HD please.

I'd like a HD version of Gregory Horror Show. It's one of my all time favourite games. Just so unique.

I'd like a HD version of Gregory Horror Show. It's one of my all time favourite games. Just so unique. The art style uses a lot of flat surfaces with shading so you would get something a lot like a remaster running the game upscaled via emulation. The main thing missing would be widescreen support.
I agree though, I wish Capcom paid more attention to their back catalogue from the first half of the 2000s. Loads of interesting games, but low sales I guess that's why anything that wasn't Resident Evil is treated like it doesn't exist now. They did the remaster of Onimusha, but just the first game, which is just silly.

Did we mention the Legacy of Kain series?
Not sure I want a remake, more a Bluepoint esque reimagining of the whole thing. The story and base mechanics could underpin something amazing these days.
If we could get it done while the original voice cast are about that would be great

Soul Reaver was awesome, but there's a few others in the series I want. I think Defiance on the Xbox was another I liked.

My vote is for Chucky Egg.
For real, I would say Tie Fighter, but it isn't really necessary, the game is what it is, and I believe you can get mods to make it look nice.
SW Squadrons was impressive but ultimately poor as a replacement.
