Antics is indeed the best Interpol album. Turn On The Bright Lights will always be my favourite for some reason.

Bruce Springsteen - Darkness On The Edge Of TownMy favourite album of his, Racing in the Street is such an underrated song. The I love Darkness, it's up there with Lucky Town, Tunnel of Love and Born to Run for me. But my favourite is (and always shall be) Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. Some amazing stuff on here already, folks. I find these lists incredibly difficult to do because I couldn't ever really manage with just 5 records. However, just for today, I have chosen: Rocket from the Crypt - Circa Now: with Apollo 9 and Atom Willard joining on Sax and drums respectively, it's the start of the big sound of Rocket from the Crypt, but still with the punk, eye to eye with the crowd aesthetic. Muscular. NOFX - White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean: the one before most people's choice. The first Hefe record and honesty, some of best songs. Still drunken, lurching and stoopid, but also really good. Lifter Puller - Half Dead and Dynamite: North American indie made of characters and stories, driven by guitars and sung in a voice not everyone could love. Atmosphere - You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having: you could honestly let me pick any Atmosphere album and I'd be happy, but this is the tipping point between youthful anger and songs about girls and the more thoughtful, grown up band they'd become. Really strong. Social Distortion - Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell: because I play it A LOT. And then I look at that and think... No Leonard Cohen. No Bob Dylan. No Jazz, mo soul, no funk. No Afrobeat. And so on. Five. Pfft. π

White Trash is my second favourite NOFX album after Ribbed, I'm curious to know what one every one usually says. I'm guessing Punk In Drublic?

Thought so, I remember a lot of people getting into them around the time of the Kerrang, Scuzz and P-rock channels and they were the only songs they showed.

I think they have been around so long and putting the Frank Turner debacle aside, they have consistently dropped good records their whole career. It's hard now to pick a favourite. Wolves and War on Errorism imo are equal to PiD and White Trash these days. I prefer live stuff generally, so you get a bit of everything.

Forgot Decemberists - Hazards of Love and The Streets - A Grand Don't Come For Free. I do seem to love concept albums for some reason.

Lots of great shouts, I mean they all are of course working on the fact music is so subjective...and also happens to be the one absolute stand out artform.

Big Len is probably my favourite songwriter ever and I consider myself blessed to have seen him live. In recent years, I probably sing his songs more than listen to them, though. Good to see you representing the gravely voiced heroes, with him and Tom Waits, though. ππ»π
