He was found guilty of one charge and short suspension. We were supposed to believe his story of in fear of his life from Russian mafia etc. if you want to believe that utter nonsense, fair play.

Had a good laugh at Ronnie being unhappy with the ref's placement of the cue ball, then getting Trump over to have a look 😂

I don't believe it, but you can't ban someone unless the ruling body find them guilty. So if the players are happy to play against him then I can still appreciate he's an excellent player. Sort of separating the player from the cheat )

I had to glance back at Higgins thing as I couldn't remember the details. He was found not guilty of the fixing, but guilty of not reporting the incident as soon as it happened. The whole thing was a sting set up and reported by News of the World, so not exactly a newspaper known for being an upstanding publication.
And, if you did end up discussing match fixing with people in Ukraine for real, good chance those people are connected with Russian Mafia. Don't know about you, but I would feel a tad uncomfortable and play along until the first opportunity to get the hell out of there. You can certainly question about him ending up in that situation in the first place, but accepting what the ruling body has decided over a discredited paper and random people on the Internet seems reasonable.
Whatever anyone thinks about that incident though, he is still a fantastic player.
Anyway, that resetting the white by Ronnie was funny initially but grew a bit tedious. Interesting to see so much talking back to the ref, which I don't think you would see in any other sport. Obviously, you have to get it right, but the point when the ref, the second ref, the player and the opponent agree iit is positioned correctly, before Ronnie again stood up and said it isn't right probably is where the ref should have said enough is enough we are playing on.

Unfortunately he seems to have the personality type that needs some kind of drama in order to function. He always needs something to distract him.

Wow, Trump is not playing well enough.
O'Sullivan is now on 15 centuries this tournament, that's insane that 2 players have reached that many in one tournament. And both are the old farts.

This is going to end up being an embarrassing scoreline.

The entire tournament ROS has been put under zero pressure from anyone, all of them crumbling probably from fear of him. When he can play however he wants and know his opponent will fuck up and let him back in, he will not be beaten, it just plays directly to his strength.

I wonder if last night's match has given him imposter syndrome. Sure his long potting has been a problem all tournament but his head's gone completely now.

Far too much money in it these days, these boys can just coast to a cushy living. Likes of Williams, Higgins and O'Sullivan had to Duke it out when there were like 7 tournaments a season, and it fully shows.

It is astonishing that Hendry held the most ranking events record for so long from back when there were only 7 events in a season.

Could half imagine Ronnie asking to just play through the night so he can get tomorrow off. He'd probably be done by 1am.

Wouldn't surprise me if this ends with a session to spare. Other than one or two games this tournament has been a bit of a non-event. Desperately missed someone like Selby putting a shift in.

It's frustrating because I know Williams would have given him a game. Such a shame that poor first session in the semi final did such damage that even despite an amazing comeback Trump had to win the odd frame to see himself over the finish line.

Williams would definitely had given him a proper match. That 7-1 freak session in the semi final pretty much killed this final looking back.
