First descendant
It looks really good but already I'm getting a bit bored of the mission structure. trouble with most free to play games and even some other full price games just recycle the some mission types
It's quite fun when you get a chaotic matchmade event. Very samey so far though. It kind of scratches the Destiny 2 itch, but at the same time kind of makes me want to just play the superior game instead. Had to laugh at one of the first bosses you fight being called Greg. I'm now on the "Colon joint operation" mission. Pretty sure neither of the above were even attempts at humour.

Wasn't expecting that. I don't know if it'll translate in sales seeing as while people like to talk about wanting something different they rarely practice what they preach.

...which reminds me, I still haven't fired up the Kunitsu-Gami trial to see what the fuzz is about, probably because I fear it will be much complicated for my aging brain...

It does give you a lot at the start but once you get used to it it's pretty fun.
Still not sure if I'll buy it right away but most likely will buy it at some point.

I love it when you start Googling a game because it sounds right up your street, only to discover it's day one on GP.
14ish hours too, which is ideal for me.
/edit Heh, it was right there in the image... Idiot!

I'll be buying it for sure. Marketing for the game is close to non existent plus digital only so I dunno how it will translate to sales either. It's one where the demo had me sold more than any trailer did. A "weird" smaller game from a big publisher should be encouraged, albeit Square siphons money off FF14 and invests it to things like The Quiet Man or Balan Wonderland or Foamstars.

I’m not sure if action strategy is up my street these days. I’d rather have another Onimusha.

Playing it now, it's good. Gorgeous to look at. Starting off pretty simple, takes a bit to get used to the action and tower defense mechanics but it does create a satisfying gameplay loop of preparation and then following through with the plan and having the flexibility to move units where they need to be as the game throws a wrench to your plans. It's a weird game and I'm glad Capcom took a chance and made it.

Yeah, a couple of hours in here and it's great so far, but very overwhelming at first. Most of my time has been spent replaying the earlier levels to make sure I actually understand the mechanics.

With stuff like this and the Marvel collection coming back I have a feeling we might be getting stuff like a re-release of Power Stone.

Aaaaand I just read some absolute dickhead spoil the game's ending in one of the comments to the official Twitter account. Game's been out a day and the guy can't keep it in his trousers. More fool me I guess.

More fool me I guess. Your first mistake was reading Twitter replies. Well, technically your first mistake was using Twitter, but with how many things are on there and/or link to that we're all a bit guilty there, so...

Eurogamer is the last gaming outlet I follow (except Digital Foundry). If they go, I think all my gaming news will come from here or official publisher presentations.

Overwatch 2 is returning to 6v6 in a separate game mode as they ascertain what's best for the game. Prob best solution for those clamouring for it, you get 5v5 and 6v6 playable together, albeit 6v6 comes with longer queue times just purely based off the ratio of not that many tank players, something that's been true ever since OW1. I just hope they can balance it ok because some pairings like Mauga/Zarya or Orisa/Roadhog sound absolutely fucked to play against.

Specifically the Soul Reaver games. Now that would be very nice indeed.

Oops, yeah I should have made that clear. Wouldn't mind a Blood Omen remake/remaster too though. Those first three games in the series were fantastic.

SR was janky as fuck at that time. Never actually finished it because of the clunky mess it was on PC. (although I hear the Dreamcast version was the best way to play it) It needs a full on remake imo. Absolutely adored the second game. "History abhors a paradox" has stuck with me ever since.

Still playing the first descendant, really hate the collect 50 orbs on floating platform missions as its awful and the game isn't good for precise jumps. But stuck on the dead bride boss battle as get matched up with fucking idiots. First time was some twat who had level 24 character (the boss is level 44) he/she must be using another character to level them up and kept on dying. The team only gets 3 shared respawns and once again you lose does not matter if the others are alive. Shitty game design again. tried again right now and all level 40 (capped) and one dickhead kept on trying to play it like it was COD

Double Fine just casually putting it another long documentary video.
Really hope we see what they are working on this year. Psychonauts 2 was so damn good.

Visions of Mana has a new demo out now. Playing it gives you 3 weapons for the full game. Judging from what other people have been saying, this could be something special
