It's a great job if you like complaining about your job. To be fair though having spent 25 years in another job, working with kids is simultaneously heart meltingly fantastic, furiously annoying and absolutely exhausting. And then you get all the shite from utter incompetents in the DfE on top of that. We all hate it because of all the stuff that gets in the way of us actually helping the children we get to know and like every year.
ETA And there are vanishingly few children you can spend 5 hours a day 5 days a week with and not find something to like about them.
