Black Sabbath - The Wizard
There has been talk about how Sabbath finally got real metal later by shaking off their blues roots as if that was a good thing. The debut album is blues turned up to 11, that's what makes it great, that's why it's my favourite Sabbath album.

Speaking of blues, the groove. The sound.

Yeah, probably, if I knew what it was Ha fair enough. Have a listen to Superhero Music* by Fingathing if you like Deltron 3030, sort of a similar feel, although that could be because I got into them both at roughly the same time. *The album, not the individual track

New album by The War on Drugs is pretty good. It'll probably become very good over time, as they always do.

I heard you on my wireless back in '52 Lying awake, intent at tuning in on you If I was young, it didn't stop you coming through Oh-a, oh-a They took the credit for your second symphony Rewritten by machine and new technology And now I understand the problems you can see
Oh-a oh-a I met your children Oh-a oh-a What did you tell them?
Video killed the radio star Video killed the radio star Pictures came and broke your heart Oh-a-a-a oh
And now we meet in an abandoned studio We hear the playback and it seems so long ago And you remember the jingles used to go
Oh-a oh-a You were the first one Oh-a oh-a You are the last one
Video killed the radio star Video killed the radio star In my mind and in my car We can't rewind, we've gone too far
Oh-a-aho oh Oh-a-aho oh
Video killed the radio star Video killed the radio star
In my mind and in my car We can't rewind, we've gone too far Pictures came and broke your heart Put the blame on VCR
You are a radio star You are a radio star
Video killed the radio star Video killed the radio star Video killed the radio star Video killed the radio star Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star Video killed the radio star Video killed the radio star Video killed the radio star

Out of curiosity. Its a weirdly laid back and very short album.

A new (old) Radiohead song, Follow Me Around. I remember having a bootleg copy of a live acoustic version of this that someone had recorded some pretty professional sounding drums, bass and electric guitar over in Radiohead's style. Must have listened to it hundreds of times. Great to have an official version finally, even if it lacks a bit of the energy of that bootleg version.
EDIT: Here's the bootleg version:

It's been a while so i'm checking out Andy Rehfeldt's channel. Was going to post in the covers thread but i don't think they fit. He loves messing about with genres and vocals. His Mary Poppins does Death Metal is legendary.

David Bowie singing Heroes at Live Aid '85.
My only regret about being born in 1986 is that I couldn't watch it live.
