Big fan of the way Billy Biopsy says "sojourn".

I’ve recently bought Billy back into the team. What a lad he is. Him and Woddy love to smash the shit out of things.

Dante. Didn’t even know about another. Just grabbed him when I saw him and thought he was the one! Bumeggs I think the devs were definately messing with players with that mission. The fact that they are the same but with different hairstyles and within the same area suggest they were toying with us. Still going with NG+ in order to get the true ending and keep getting sidetracked with missions I originally failed or those which I wanted a good resolution for. Feels like groundhog day.

Bit quiet in here...
I am now a magick archer. Will level this up and see how I get on. Looks fun. Still fannying around. Just did the quest that unlocked that vocation and now I have a pawn that speaks elvish I'm going to take the long way up to elfland to level this vocation up a bit en route. Then I'm going after that fucking medusa, then the dragon that's nearby. I will also try to level my gear a bit more. Then it's final quest time. So... Hours yet.
In other news I was walking along a narrow cliffside path and was approached by a pawn touting for work. To save us both the embarrassment, I hoisted him up and lobbed him off the cliff. I didn't feel good but I did it for him. Save him the shame of walking off.

So I went straight into the Unmoored World as opposed to fighting the dragon and then completed the Unmoored World. It was visually quite interesting but I didn't like the special dragons you have to face with their multitude of tiny weak spots to destroy and made some fights rather laborious tbh. It's all done now and I'm in NG+ but I think I've seen pretty much everything the game has to offer.
I would love some QoL improvements and maybe some more enemy variety.

I’m jumping around between games trying to find something to fill the DD sized hole. Nothing clicking atm so I’m weighing up NG+, DD Dark Arisen, or Rise of the Ronin. As only one of those will cause me to unnecessarily spend a large chunk of money I could do with spending on something sensible I think it’s clear I’ll be popping up in the Ronin thread sooner rather than later.

Finished my NG+ so I could get the true ending (so 145 hours all told) . Total tonal shift that - quite bleak. Really loved the game - got quite attached to my pawn - hopefully any DLC will enable us to use them. As mentioned above - there is a DD sized hole. Hmm...should really finish Jedi Survivor...

Errr, why did you do NG+ to do the true ending? You didn't have to do that. I didn't. I worded that incorrectly. I made the mistake of doing a NG+ so I could successfully do some missions I failed (it gave me four screens of "do you want to do this?") then once in the new game I quickly looked at the various endings. Realising there was a 'true ending' I thought I'd continue my NG+ to see that.

I haven’t had much time to play, but I’m back on this now. Still in Battahl and exploring while doing quests about the place. I’ve just bought an house over there (which is nice) and also recently unlocked the Trickster vocation so might give that a spin even though I realise it’s possibly not the best.
I’ve max ranked the Mystic Spearhand and Sorcerer on my Pawn so have temporarily returned to Fighter and Mage to finish those off too.
Billy has returned to the Rift after a few days of fine service (and Top Bantz) so I now have Duncan (Thief) and Buffy (Archer) accompanying me. I have a quest that wants me to go back to Harve so am planning to go back to the starting areas where hopefully it’ll be a bit easier to level up that new Trickster class…
Still very much loving the game but wish I had more time to play!

Oh yes, I had the DragonsPlague notice for the first time when hiring Dunc… does he need a bath? I tried to look for glowing eyes but they seemed normal enough…

Any tips for the unmoored world? Am I right in saying there’s a time limit?

Any tips for the unmoored world? Am I right in saying there’s a time limit? Yes, insofar as every time you rest time moves on and, thus, a region getting wiped out is more likely. Each region has a time limit (see the map for the closest cloud formation to a region/city) which ranges from four days to eight (I think).

Just exploring battahl. Found the miners cavern. Will need a trip back to the city to offload all this stuff. Not sure what it is but seems like it could be important. Good thing about battahl is you can use the cable cars to get back to town pretty easily.
I’ve gone back to archer after maxing thief and MS. I think archer is my favourite of the 3. It’s good to be back. I got the heavenly shot skill from the head elf. Takes a lot of time to wind up but it’s pretty devastating if you can land it.

If it's the same stuff I'm thinking of, the rarer glimmer coal you should keep for a quest, but the similarly named common stuff has no use.

Magick archer Rob. That’s what you need. You’ll unlock that eventually. The martyrs bolt skill is like setting off a nuke.

Ooops. Phaestus seems to have died. That was clumsy of him. Two big red beams down. Two to go. I can honestly say I still have no idea what this game is about. I also seem to be finishing quests in the most stupid manner possible. It’s also still hilariously janky.
I also still love the shit out of it. It’s the most fun I’ve had in a game for aaaaaaaaages.

I think I’ve reached the path to the Medusa, judging from what the person on the bridge was saying. Not sure whether to go on or come back to it later.
I want to unlock this magick archer class. That sounds like fun.

It really is incredibly janky. It's like I mentioned before it does everything it can to get in the way of you enjoying yourself and by all rights should be a total trainwreck of a game but it succeeds in spite of it. It's weird to acknowledge that the director of this game has made some of the tightest action games in videogame history but the Dragon's Dogma series is where he's thought fuck it and just put everything he loves about adventure games in a big pot cooked it up really nicely, but forgotten to give you a knife and fork and plate to eat it off.

No worries. Bunny has been great. I only got rid of her so that I could rehire at a higher level Had a decently productive session today after not really committing to it recently. Messed up 4 dragons (would've been 5 but one ran away, which made me feel like a badass) Finally got enough of the thing you need for the wayfarer quest, so equipped that with my basic spearhand build for now and will experiment a bit later. Unlocked the dwarven smith and had a look around misty marshes too (and messed up a griffin) Kind of feel like I've only got the rest of the sphinx quest and the gorgon left to go on my mental checklist and I'll feel ready to crack on and finish it then. (well, after getting distracted 150 more times) God, would it have killed them to put a blue stone thingy down near the volcano. Yeah, kind of feels like there should've been a couple more static ones throughout the world. I've taken to making sure my main pawn always has one on him at all times. I would've probably lost my mind by now without the ones I put down in Bakbattahl and the volcanic island camp. I'll definitely be putting one down whenever I finally find the second sphinx location!
