Doesn't Cage get killed with a harpoon gun?
Travolta is 70 and Cage 60 so surely you go with a new cast.

Maybe they could do something interesting with it, like putting a younger face onto an older body or some shit like that.
But I don't know... the original is one of my favourite movies ever, so I'm intrigued and hope it's a good idea. But I think it's probably a bad idea, hence the Palestinian Chicken gif.

And yes, Castor Troy does get killed in the first one.

Yeah I get the feeling this is going to just have them swapped onto younger bodies to cover the fact neither can do anything now. (Hell Travolta has a stunt double run down 3 steps in the first).
Will only see those 2 for about 10 minutes.
Guess they can bring back the strange rubbing hands over faces bit as well.

I feel like he did! And if there were any doubt about it, Sean Archer would stab him a few more times just to make sure.
But it's probably going to be some other dude wearing Nic Cage's face, to taunt him or something like that.

To be fair, yes he gets harpooned, but after that you see them wheeled into surgery and it's not confirmed either way if he's dead to be honest. I always assumed he was, but certainly wouldn't be the world's most incongruous retcon if he wasn't.

Don't remember that bit so yeah they can get away with keeping him alive.
Also the last John Woo film I actually enjoyed and the best use of Cages over acting.

If Deadpool and Wolverine wasn't coming out I'd be happy with a Hugh and Ryan version of Face/Off 2.

The thing is, surely the main reason for doing Face/Off/2 is so Cage can go batshit again?
If you were going to reboot it, I'd gender swap it. Charlize Theron and Lena Headey, or something like that.

Neil Morrissey and Martin Clunes. How have those two not done one of those "two blokes do a thing" shows yet? Like a Whitehouse and Mortimer fishing show kind of thing. It seems like such a slam dunk of an idea someone in TV land must have tried to make it happen.

I would pay alot of money to have access to that. The carnage I could cause in our office on those late nighters

Mad Max prequel in the works. Guess they have a good feeling about Furiosa.

I really don't like prequels. Godfather 2 and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly exempted.

I dunno, the star wars prequels are okay. Especially Rogue One. I would put Fire Walk With Me up as an amazing prequel too

Just saw the Maxxxine trailer in cinema. Looks great. Really upped the cast now as well.

So they're... remaking Mad Max then? I was confused until I read the comment from George Miller about it. Basically, it's a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road. It's set between Furiosa and Fury Road. So "prequel" is doing a lot of unnecessary hard work in the sentence, I think.
