Never bet on the national before so I put a tenner on a random horse and with the 30 quid I got as a bonus I just chucked that on a top 4 finish for a few others.

Had the winner but it was only 50p ew. I think everyone throws a small bet on one or two outsiders as well as their main horse. £26/27 for it though so still something. Had the Sam Brown on the one before £1 ew at 40/1 too I think it was so not a bad day. Thank you best odds guaranteed.

I don't know how you lot do it- I can never win on horses.
Football, yes, with the very occasional accumulator coning in too, but horses? Very rarely. I've given up trying, but good luck to you all!

Some of it is luck tbf. I rarely win big, usually maybe £10-20 up or down across a Festival. I stick to these events though, I would be destitute in no time otherwise!
