Prelude won't be available on Xbox due to Sony buying forever rights to it before MS bought Bethesda.
Good thing is it's just an interactive novel you can watch on YouTube.

Wow, not a great start. I've just had 5 crashes to dashboard with this trying to get through intro sequence. I'm actually uninstalling to reinstall and see if that helps. Utterly bizarre.

I had a very brief look last night for about 20 mins. I'm pissing about in the endgame anyway so could see the new yokai quickly and the new abilities which I was able to unlock a couple of. Glad to finally have a dodge in there. Goign to investigate that school mission later but not sure when I can be bothered with the Spider's web event.

Nope, 2 full on CTD in 2 attempts. This is after a full restart and reinstall. Leader another game to check if there was perhaps something else going on and that worked fine.
I can't see those being widely reported but given I've never had a similar issue and other games seem fine, this is a bit odd.

Yep another reinstall to the internal drive rather than the expansion card and I didn't even get to the main menu.
I'm going to try an graphically intense game tonight to make sure my xbox isn't about to die because that seems the more likely explanation at this stage...

Welp, it appears that my console is the thing that's fucked, whoopdeedoo!
I guess that's ghostwire tokyo never getting played given I assume a repair will take some time and we've got BOTW2 and Redfall coming very soon. Shame as I usually quite like TG games

Yea, I had completed RE4 in the last three or so weeks and had some odd issues whilst playing that, but mainly just texture pop in (which I attributed to RE Engine as it always has texture issues). I had normal pop in issues but also had a very infrequent bug where certain ground textures and world detail would completely fail to load. A force quit always resolved it and there was no issue with performance. I suspect RE Engine is not the most taxing but those were some early signs of a hardware issue.
RE4 is the only game I've tested that doesn't consistently crashed since Wednesday night (I'm now getting super weird vision cone like graphical issues there). Ghostwire, Atomic Heart and PLague tale all crashing to dashboard.
On with MS support now dealing with the usual "it's out of warranty" shite but I'll be fighting them tooth and nail for a free replace/repair. Ridiculous that such a premium machine which has had at best moderate use (I've two kids now like) would fail 2.5 years into it's lifecycle.
Edit: My man in there is escalating it for a free repair to "show appreciation for how long I've been with Xbox". I have to wait to hear back but I would be shocked if he mentioned that possibility and it didn't follow.

Fingers crossed for a speedy (and free!) repair, Mike - as Wunty said, 2.5 years is way too soon for such an expensive machine to croak, expired warranty or otherwise.

They're doing the right thing thankfully... What that says to the cynical side of me is that this is a wider issue that just hadn't been as widely seen yet.
Maybe it's because they just value me so much as a customer but I have my doubts. I mean I guess a lot of us in here are likely to have comparatively huge libraries (I think I have close to 500 digital titles on Xbox excluding game pass) but also that would kinda be a shitty reason that I might get a free repair over little Johnny who plays only ftp games and his box croaked but he's SOL

That's sucks. Though whenever I've had to send a console in for repair MS have always been great and have it back within a week.
For some reason the have decided to add denuvo to the PC version a year after release.

I bet they probably bend the rules with console warranties a lot after the RROD fiasco. It just takes a few cases of an issue to cause a Twitter shitstorm these days, which they'll be keen to avoid.

And platinummed (plus the non spider's thread mode trophies too) on PS5. It always caught my eye but going onto PSplus Extra gave me the chance. Played in quality as the RT really suits and I can live with 30fps. Despite all the talks about crashes, the only bug Ibhad in 60 hours was one fast travel once dropped me through the floor into an infinite drop. It got me the flying trophy though... And a quick fast travel back fixed it.
Combat got a little samey as you went on but the world kept it interesting. And the yokai were cool. The bonus school section was quite fun too.

I've played two hours and I can't continue. I like the atmosphere and it's nice wondering around Tokyo but the combat is so unbelievably bad that I'd rather spend my time doing something else.
