It felt a bit perfunctory in Fallout 4 (then again the entire game did) and I don't think I'd miss it much. Something I have missed a bit in Bethesda's Fallouts (I haven't played 76) is the frontier feeling of the west coast ones.
Pretty sure all of Europe is supposed to be completely glassed in the Fallout canon though, so 1/10 terrible mod.

If this were coming to Xbox it might be a reason to buy one!
So utterly frustrated that this IP was captured by a developer so completely unworthy of it. We can hope Microsoft will give it to Obsidian or to proper writers somehow, but it’s also unlikely that they’ll move quickly to piss off Todd Howard by taking his toys away.

Obsidian should be working on Outer Worlds 2 anyway

Well, Todd did give it to Obsidian once. He seems like a bit of a prick but I don't know if he'd be that petty or even in a position to really object if Microsoft wants Obsidian to do another one. Fallout 3 and 4 seem to have sold better than New Vegas despite the latter being much better liked by RPG fans (at least vocal ones on the internet), so who knows if it's even something Microsoft would want. |

It launched at half-price in Australia, $50 instead of $100 (though it’s common for with $100 RRPs to be $70-$80 at launch). I’ve never seen that happen before with a major release, and never seen it since. I was really puzzled by that because the hype for the game seemed huge. |

I played Fallout 4 and thought it was alright but then after about 50 hours or so, like Fallout 3, I started to realise what I'm playing is actual shit. Like, there's very little about it that's respectable or well made. It's a cobbled together mess, the best part of which is the universe that other people created
I wonder if Fallout 3 is still fun without mods of XSX

It's been up and down - in 2017, Fallout 4 had overtaken Skyrim in sales figures and was called Bethesdas' most successful game ever. As of 2020, Skyrim was back on top.

I wouldn't be surprised if the paid mod club thing (I don't remember what it's called) for Fallout 4 ended up making them a lot more money than it should have. Also wouldn't be surprised if FO76 has been reasonably profitable despite its poor sales and horrible reception simply due to its business model.

thought it was on Steam? Played it back in the day but it got very repetitive Kind of. I think what is on there is some version of Hellgate Global and there seem to be some issues with it, but I'm not completely sure about what the exact differences are. |
