I do that. I'm brilliant at procrastinating. I get up really early as I like to have a black coffee about 45 mins before running. It's always closer to 90 mins before I actually get up off my arse mind you. It's because I'm up first, have the place to myself, pop the PS5 on... you can guess the rest.

Days 25 and 26 done. Day 25 was last night and Day 26 this morning. Neither was fun. At all. Too hot and I was fucking tired.
Four days left...

I’m still doing it but an only doing 5.3k a day and it’s only been 9 days in a row
It’s not as bad as I thought it would be. I’ve not run regularly like this since about 2015 so was a bit nervous about starting but it’s been pretty interesting to find that I can do it

How are you guys running everyday and avoid injury?! I'm too much of a fat fuck for this I'm guessing. I've had injuries in the past but not for a few years now. Used to get bad shin splints, then both knees basically exploded, but recently it's been alright. I just seem to recognise if my legs are starting to get a bit iffy and pull the pace back a bit I suppose. Probably cursed myself now and my right leg will fall off tomorrow.

The injury I’m out with at the moment probably wouldn’t have required (very minor) surgery if I hadn’t been running and bouldering on it but it did come from an impact injury playing football originally so I can’t blame the trails for it.
Otherwise being warmed up, hydrated and knowing when its time to ease off and when its ok to go have kept me running injury free since I started really committing again earlier this year.
I tend to run on softer surfaces (farm tracks and unpathed paths rather than tarmac and pathing stones) in chunky trainers too so that probably helps with the impact on my joints.

Just did day 27 and have never felt so shit. Worryingly had covid symptoms this morning so put myself straight in for a PCR test.
What fun.

Nice. I love running when abroad. It's such a nice way to explore the area or city you're visiting and see stuff you'd never normally find.
Not happened for a few years now though.
Stupid covid. 😢

We're down in the south of France now for a week so decided to challenge myself this morning. 16km in the sun with over 500m elevation. Very hard at points on the trail but a lot of fun and worth it for the views. imgur.com/a/WNQ3tEVimgur.com/a/iyaSGmpJealous! Although to be fair I tried running in the South of France three years ago and sacked it off after 2 runs. Too hot!

Well, I got the covid all clear and just up after 24 hours in bed. Last thing I want to do is run but I'm so damn close. Fuck it. I'm going to try and head out in a few hours. 5k.no more. Definitely no more.

Seeing a few friends clocking sub-2hr Great North Runs today is giving me major FOMO that its a minimum of a month before I’m even meant to attempt to get back out on it.

Good going you lot. My knees have been giving me shit, so I've not been running very far. Been doing less and swimming in the sea more to try and build strength in the knee joints.

Jealous! Although to be fair I tried running in the South of France three years ago and sacked it off after 2 runs. Too hot! Yeah, it was ridiculously hot at points and if I do another this week it will probably be shorter and on the harbour/beach so no hills. Might have to get out a bit earlier to beat the heat. Good going on your streak! Don't let a little bit of covid stop you!

Day 30 done.
Last 2 runs weren't as bad as I feared as I felt a bit better.
That's... An interesting challenge! Thankfully no injuries and apart from this bug over the last few days I've felt alright. It's been good to get out everyday and I'm happy I managed it.
Not sure I'd do it again mind you! I miss my long weekend runs and didn't feel I had the energy doing it like this but, who knows. Maybe I could settle into it and add a few long rings in once in a while.
First things first though. A couple of rest days.

I’m on day 14 and am only doing a slow 5.3k each day but in a perverse way I’ve quite enjoyed it so far Can’t seem to run any faster that 8.30 to 8.45 miles these days so I must look like a right plodder Well done wunty, you did well to finish considering that you weren’t well for the last couple

Cheers guys! And a great suggestion nano thanks for that. I think I needed something to push me and this did the trick.
Just totted it up on my strava.
30 days 122.7 miles 197.5 km
Average 6.58km a day.
Yikes.

Is it wrong that I don't think I'll be able to not run tomorrow?

Do the proper runners have any advice on recovery?
Did day 14 yesterday and for the first time my legs felt a bit tired, also behind my left knee felt a bit “locked up”, can’t think of a better description
My routine after a run is a sip of water, sit down for ten minutes to cool down, cold-ish shower - that’s it

retro74 I'd add some stretches in after a run, particularly calves and hamstrings. There are plenty good examples around for the type of stretches to do. Just getting back into running after a brutal achilles injury that's kept me out for 4 months. Mainly because I did what you did and just sat after a run with no proper cool down, was fine doing that in my 20's but not so much now!!
