Or just use your fist to smash it all together on the plate and spoon it up.

For those of you who have just joined us. The above comment does NOT relate to transgender athletes. Thanks.

The scone cream/jam thing really is quite good metaphor for the black and white/binary/tribal nature of people.
The truly enlightened amongst us know it doesn't fucking matter, eat the jam from the pot like a goat and shove the cream up your arse

Is shoving cream up your arse called data mining now?

The “jam or cream first?” thing I see regularly on my fb feed from pages gaming the visibility algorithms and/or getting a nice list of accounts to harvest for data.

White I take it.
At least if those educational films I've been watching are accurate. White stuff goes up there, white stuff comes out.

what fucking debate, you put the cream on first, that's all there is to it Just for clear transparency I don't like scones and with my made up condition of lactose intolerance I have no skin in this game. Lactose caused your skin to fall off?!?

So if a scone has raisins but has them taken out, do they have an unfair advantage over scones that had no raisins to start?

If I’m given a fruit scone with my cream tea, I just throw it at the waiter until he gets me a proper one.

"A proper one" being... a scone with even MORE fruit?
Plain scones suck. May as well have a slice of bread.

This debate is ridiculous. You want a cheese scone with cayenne pepper and butter, non of this disgusting shit with raisins and jam.

Surely jam first. It is thick and the soft cream can be spread over it. Trying to evenly spread semi solid jam over a cm of soft cream is just crazy!

Even clotted there is the fact that the jam layer is thinner than the cream layer, it is easier to layer think on top of thin than vice versa.

You'll never be allowed to stop in Devon with filthy talk like that. We don't like your kind here (though you can drive through to visit those jam first wrong'uns in Cornwall).

This thread was going too fast so I had to skip 5 pages to the end. Something strange seems to have happened in the intervening pages. PS/ Clearly the clotted cream goes on first! It is thick and the soft cream can be spread over it. Are you saying clotted cream is softer than jam???

Wait, people are using soft cream and hard jam? This just gets worse the further down you go.

Balance the slice of jam on top of the single cream that you poured on your cheese scone*
*scown? Scon?
