Early access went up yesterday on EA Play. Think full launch is the 30th (?).
I've not actually picked up a FIFA game in quite a few years now, but given what-ever-the-fuck PES is doing these days, I'm tempted. Is this the last year before their deal with EA expires?

You can get a months EA Play for 79p at the minute which will give you a 10 hour trial of '23. Going to have to make the move at some point, PES is gone.

I think its a playstation offer. And yeah looks like its fully crossplay although not on the older gen consoles.

Yeah, pes is no more and fifa is actually decent.
Movement on the few games I've played seems a bit slower this season. But still more of the same with shinier graphics so I'm happy.

You can changed from tactical to legacy defending in the options if that helps. I like the defending so never changed it but worth trying.

Left stick dribbling was so crazy on 22 that defending was almost a guessing game half the time. Dribbling and the ease of beating players has been toned down in 23 apparently.

Just had a few games and whilst jockeying and nicking the ball mostly works at Pro level, I suspect will be too limited at higher/against other players. It's not bad but still feels a bit skatey to me at times. Not sure it's significantly better/different to PES21 to justify the investment yet. But obviously I am weak so will cave at some point. |
