I’ve not seen us play like that in what feels like years. That was an early Poch era performance. Brilliant.

Only caught the last 30 mins and thought City looked out of ideas.
Lovely stuff, once they have Kane and get in the swing of things I'm sure they will be winning 15 on the bounce again, so good for them to drop max points now!

Sky’s agenda of wanting Kane at City isn’t subtle in any way.
Was nice to finally see some intensity there from Spurs, it’s been a long time

Well that was a pleasing result. Glad we have a football thread!

Poor City, it must be so hard when you’re too poverty stricken to afford a new striker or other reinforcements like Pep says they are

Based on only two games, Brentford - Arsenal and then Spurs - City today, it feels like having the fans back is giving the home team a bigger boost than I’d anticipated.
Arsenal just couldn’t match Brentford’s intensity in the opening game and I thought City struggled to match Spurs today. I wonder how long that’ll last.
Being an Arsenal man, I’d like to think maybe we might see the same kind of boost in our first home game against Chelsea. Unfortunately I think the atmosphere might not be hugely supportive unless we get off to a bright start.

An interesting day of football, West ham v Newcastle was great to watch, best game of the weekend in my opinion.
City though, they really looked flat, devoid of ideas. If Pep wanted an advertisement to buy Kane, that was it.

Haha - the atmosphere is going to be grim. At the end of last season I would have said the “Arteta Out” contingent was a minority. Feels like the underwhelming transfer window and now Brentford may have tipped the scales.

Always tricky to tell, as Twitter is not the fanbase. Most ST holders don't bother with any of that ime. Need a response though, even if it's just a fighting draw.

ASM is exactly the sort of player who’ll get linked with Arsenal and sold to West Ham knowing our usual business

I'm probably not as fanatical as I once was so probably some truth in there, however the investment we've put into the club vs the returns is basically criminal that we are making the same mistakes.. men vs boys comments haven't gone away. This isn't supporting Nottingham Forest where they haven't had the money injected vs the disappointment.

I was very surprised that we (Watford) managed a win on Saturday. I was half expecting them to set a new record for worse start to the season.

Don't think we have a Euro footie thread on the go at the moment ... but those Ronaldo to PSG rumours, eh?

Interesting that United arranged an extra game for today, played Burnley
I said on this thread earlier this week about how I didn’t understand how unprepared teams were for the season. OGS must read FontGeek

Villa played Liverpool on Monday. Guess everyone is in the same boat.
Ooodergard is back at Arsenal.
