(edit: context) Mo "So long"? (great, the joke that needs context ended up contextless)

Can’t he get grumpy and stop scoring goals instead.

At the risk of being criticised for praising a Liverpool player or worse still envying one, in Liverpool’s shoes I would claw my own eyes out to keep Salah. He’s definitely a bit better than any of our forwards 😂 Guess you have to be careful with potential wage demands though as otherwise you become Manchester United where people are paid in Bentleys for jogging about, without even thinking about knock on fair play or budgetary stuff. Sheeran apologised: www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/s/HJyf7YcvxfSeems fair enough. Still a twat though that ruined a Game of Thrones episode AND a Marvin Gaye song.

I get the wage demands / longevity considerations but Salah doesn’t seem like the sort to put on his slippers as soon as the deal is signed the way someone like Rashford seems to

Speaking of which, I sincerely hope Rashford is sold this Summer.
I'm done with watching him fuck up.

I see a similar situation to the Kane leaving situation at Spurs but different reasons (i.e. Kane wanted trophies and a change after many years service coming into his later career which is fair enough). Salah wont back down for anything other than stellar wages but he's also 32 and likely will also want 3yrs or maybe 2yrs duration.
So correct business decision like Kane for the club... reluctantly let him go for a good fee taking into account 1yr remaining... but its a Football decision gamble based on how you plan to replace him and what that cost will be... Spurs certainly haven't managed that with Solanke at Spurs but he might get somewhere near Kane's level in 2-3yrs let's see but I doubt it...

Sheeran's not having a good time of it... publicly challenging Geldof (he has some valid points but still...) then making a plum of himself crashing the interview. What's no.3 Ed we're waiting

The market for Salah must realistically only be about four, maybe 5, clubs so Liverpool might have a bit of brinkmanship in their favour.

Salah is playing the media to get the fans onto the club's case. His agent has played these games before.
Personally, I would give him what he wants, but the club hierarchy are playing a game of poker with his advisors.
I would love to see Trent, Salah and Virgil all be given new deals ahead of the next week's fixtures. It would be a perfect early Xmas present.

The market for Salah must realistically only be about four, maybe 5, clubs so Liverpool might have a bit of brinkmanship in their favour. It's an issue for all these big name guys who value themselves at £300k/wk and up. That level represents so much risk/opportunity cost to the buying club that it requires zero risk factors. If form or age are a concern it just leaves those that are state owned and immunised to financial risk. At least Salah has some power from his free agent status. If he stays fit and on form you'd think many would be tempted, but only the state owned clubs will offer him anything significantly better or longer term than Liverpool will. Rashford might fancy going elsewhere and Man Utd might want rid but if he won't take a wage cut and Man Utd won't cancel his contract and forego a fee then its surely a stalemate with a loan or Saudi the only options. Osimhen and Toney are cautionary tales. They both had more minor questions around their form/mentality, and because they weren't free agents on large wages, the European market answered with a firm 'no thanks'.

OK, I'm pretty sure I can now say Cooper is shit for Leicester. Too soon to judge imo - will the new manager keep you out of the relegation zone as Cooper did?

Saw a thing earlier saying he has only ever won at 4 premiership grounds. Not an amazing record!

I don't dislike the guy, but bringing forests manager to Leicester is just the wrong thing to do. And he's not helped us much either.

Saw a thing earlier saying he has only ever won at 4 premiership grounds. Not an amazing record! In less than two full seasons with two newly promoted teams. It's not great but in that context hardly very surprising.
Us staying up in 22/23 (relatively comfortably in the end, and at the expense of a Leicester squad that was much better than their current one) was almost entirely due to home form.

Shiiiit. He’s been really good for us this season (and last). Here’s hoping he won’t be out long!
Fraser Forster is reasonable backup but not Vicario’s level…

He’s only played a few times for us really. I think the two times I’ve seen him this season, one he was brilliant, one he was awful.
Back up keeper is such a hard position, in the grand scheme of things we could probably do a lot worse. If he’s that bad we could stick one of the younger guys in.
