High on Life

I like the look of it. I hope the dialogue from the weapons doesn't loop too much though.

As it's on Gamepass i'll be playing it.

Always annoys me when they pretend things don't exist so they can say the game they're pushing is unique in some way. 'There are no comedy games - there's game x but it's a first person shooter.' This game is a first person shooter and from the footage I saw, they were wandering around doing fuck all. Hilarious

There's a tonne of comedy in games. Even something as obvious as Mario is full of slapstick humour

Omg the guns talk, that's so random! The developers are called Squanch, I understand that reference! That's from Rick and Morty! Rick and Morty is funny!

To be fair, it already sounds funnier than almost anything in Borderlands.

Played some of this tonight. The intro was very funny. The talking knife is a lot funnier than the talking gun who produces the majority of the dialogue. I never loved (edit) Rick and Morty and I believe this is pitched at that sort of a direction. Lots of violence and the opening features your teen sister offering you cocaine, so be careful letting your kids at this without reviewing it yourself.

It looks pretty good and moves great, but it has a soft image, would be interested to know how many magic pixels there aren't. It looks a bit like the old days on XBone!

I'll stick with it a bit. Has a similar feel to Sunset Overdrive although less shouty.

I'll probably give it a go at some point. It's on game pass after all isn't it?

Depends on how well the 'humour' holds up & how badly it grates after a while i guess.

I've just collected the third bounty, too. Still not enamoured by it, but I'm still playing it, so its not that bad. I have a bad habit of hunting out those chests, which absolutely kills the pacing of the game, so I would probably be better to mop that kind of thing up after beating the game. But on the flip side, they are useful for upgrading my character, which in turn will make things easier...

I am enjoying guessing the voice cast though. They're all from different backgrounds, but I know of most of them as they're often on podcasts together, or guests in other actors shows. Clearly a group of close friends.

Bounties wise I've just got the final boss.

The 7th target was a cool twist.

Liking the different conversations you can have based on what gun you have including changing a boss fight.
Didn't eclectic to enjoy it this much.
