I have no friends.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I'm thankful for Invasion having a bunch of bots for me to farm so I feel like I'm actually contributing somewhat, because boy am I slow compared to everyone else. Quite happy to finish mid-table most matches.

Invasion for me might as well be called 'Walk to where I think there might be some bots and then get sniped or killstreaked on the way there'

I came top of the pile a couple of times last night on tdm. Still got some life in me yet.

Now that I've said that, I will get butt-fucked on it later.

Had an afternoon of getting utterly smashed on it. Barely finished anywhere that wasnt bottom as I was playing with my mates. The matchmaking with them is brutal and every game is full of jump diving ninjas who instantly headshot you the second you enter a 50 meter radius to you.

I am not on the level and I don't think I even broke even on a game all day.

However I discovered the canted vibro dot 7 laser attachment. It's fantastic and I recommend you unlock it as soon as possible. It replace the optic but it's such a clean sight and speeds up your ads which helps loads.

Yeah, I ended up caving and picking it up too. Just about to give it whirl.

Not played a CoD in ages. Last one I think was Blops 2, which I had on the Wii U for some reason.

Yeah it was alright.

Ok, seems I still have a few skills with FPSs; just came first in my first free for all game. Well, technically it was a tie, but I had the better K:D.
Also got a particularly buzz during a team death match game when I managed to get the jump on a bunch of enemies and scored a triple kill.

Single player seems more of the same, which I guess is fine. I'll probably play it all, but it isn't my kind of single player FPS. Give me a Doom or a Half Life, but I can see the appeal.

I've no doubt it won't be long before I'm being 360-no-scoped every 5 seconds.

Mine was absolutely rock solid today for the first time. No crashes, no bugs and the only downer my was shitness.

Levelled the spr which is outrageously overpowered. Also did the SO-14 which is a battle rifle which is great fun with the 50 round drum and full auto. Polished off a few others that had a level or 2 to go as well.

The maps are definitely much improved on last time round. I've mostly been arsing about in ground war and invasion.

Some annoying bits, but fewer and further in between than in the usual quick play list.

It's so much more enjoyable than my online experience of vanguard. I haven't even started the campaign yet either, although A plague tale requiem is kind of scratching that singleplayer itch for now.

So Warzone and the new DMZ have landed along with the ability to prestige. The latter also appears to have cured a progression bug where the after action report showing your weapon progress etc wasn't showing and then your loadouts would disappear (it's possible this only kicked in at level 55 on Xbox, I haven't heard of it from other platforms). Anyway, sorted now.

Warzone holds no interest for me but I've had a play in DMZ and it's quite good. Reportedly it's 'Tarkov lite' but I know next to nothing about that game, I guess it reminds me somewhat of Destiny in a way.

One huge map you can solo or work in a team of three. There will be other players who if encountered may trigger PVP but in general you are fighting bots. You explore and loot and have access to a minimap where you can 'ping' (mark) objectives which turn into branching mini-missions.

You then have to extract by helicopter, and will lose most gear or loot you had permanently if you fail to do so.

That said, you have 'insured' loadout slots but you'll be time penalised on taking your insured gun in if you fail to extract.

There's a new rifle - the M13 (ACR) which can only be gained in here unless you pay cash for it. I nearly got it solo last night but the extraction process triggers waves of armoured enemies as you wait for the heli and I got murdered.

I suspect this mode would be a LOT of fun with friends on mics, which doesn't happen at the age of 40.

Tried the DMZ last night and thought it was great fun with a buddy. Will definitely be giving it another go tonight.

Yeah it got added with s1. Iirc it's the tab next to settings but the UI is such a shambles I can't be sure.
