The key point is that everyone needs to stop forgetting that Agent Carter was awesome.

I enjoyed Loki the most, WandaVision had me the most intrigued, Falcon was pretty forgettable altogether, Hawkeye looks to be silly fun that will try for pathos in ep 5 and end with a happy Christmas dinner.

Didn't we have this discussion 2 pages back? The first half of Wandavision is terrible, but the second half is good. The first half of Falcon+Soldier is good, but the second half is terrible. Everyone on the old RPS forum loved Loki the best, but everyone from EG thought it was the worst. Jessica Jones s1 > Daredevil s1 > Agent Carter s1 > all the other stuff but Daredevil s3 & Punisher are apparently good too. Hawkeye seems to have the potential to be Falcon+Soldier, but not crash and burn half way through due to the pandemic messing up production. ...and breathe... Perfect execution, all correct. Personally I thought WandaVision also fucked up the last episode because of assorted cop-outs and trying too hard to be surprising (whilst failing) but otherwise that's just correct. Also Loki was the best and people saying otherwise are clearly just trying to be edgelords. Daredevil S3 was indeed good. Hawkeye seems likely to be solid if they can keep it up, yeah, better overall for me than either WV or Falcon... but that's a big if. We're really going to have some pretty wild ordering arguments in a few years when we have multiple seasons of some of these, She-Hulk, Moon Knight (probably terrible despite lead), Ms Marvel (probably too twee to live), Ironheart (please don't suck!) and so on. Honestly be unsurprised if we somehow end up with another recast of Spider-Man and this time it's a TV series.

I've enjoyed them all though Wingman and Tinarm and the boat loan adventure was the weakest. I assume the covid shutdown made things very difficult.
Agree about the last episode of Wandavision and I think they dragged the TV land trope out a little too long.
Loki was good but some definite Dr Who vibes, especially armageddon planet episode and I would have liked Kang to be a bit more Kangy.
Missed opportunities for all three but hey I'm happy to have all this content to stream. It's good times if your a fan of comic books, scifi and fantasy.

If we're doing this Wanda was by far the best, Loki was good but girl Loki made if feel like Dr Who every time she was on screen and nobody wants that. Fisto and the Amazing Pigeon was ok if a little bland. I enjoyed Aldi Iron Man in it.
Whichever Dare Devil season had the Punisher in was good, as was the Punisher season one. The other Netflix stuff was all pretty bad. Foggy and his potato head is the worst thing to ever happen ever.

Whichever Dare Devil season had the Punisher in was good, That's season 2, the one everyone universally says is a bit rubbish because it has too many ninjas. I have a bit of a soft spot for Elektra, but yeah, too many ninjas.

I found Karen (Carol? I forget. Matt's girlfriend) extremely annoying in Daredevil. But I don't remember much else about it, aside from Private Pyle as Kingpin.

Punisher was done well. Elektra wasn't.
I did a rewatch a year or two ago and I forgot that Punisher is in pretty much the whole of series 2. As is Elektra.
Punisher in prison was excellent.

Personally, I liked Elektra as a character, and her history with Matt, but of course her story was tied into the mystical ninja stuff that was a bit rubbish.
I'm torn on Punisher, because I don't like the character and it felt like they had to spend half the season setting up his spinoff. On the other hand, the actor was good, and I guess it meant we didn't get an entire season of mystical ninja stuff.
My main regret about the Netflix Marvel stuff is that we never really got a proper Jessica + Luke reunion. They had great chemistry in JJ season 1, and as I understand it the characters got married in the comics.
The rumored Colleen Wing & Misty Knight spinoff could have been cool too.
But it did sometimes feel like they wasted too much energy setting up spinoffs and crossovers, instead of focusing on what they were doing at the time. Yoda would have disapproved.

My main regret about the Netflix Marvel stuff is that we never really got a proper Jessica + Luke reunion. They had great chemistry in JJ season 1, and as I understand it the characters got married in the comics. It was a pretty damn weird decision that they avoided the shit out of that, and especially that they put Rosario Dawson as his love interest, who Mike Colter had less than zero chemistry with. Seriously that was the least-convincing "Oh yeah we're horny for each other!" I've ever seen on TV, I think. That was a bit of an issue generally with the Netflix-Marvel shows, whoever was casting them was not great at determining chemistry. Sometimes they got it right (Krysten Ritter worked well with both Tenant and Colter), but I think the actual majority of the time they got it wrong, so I suspect the JJ thing was a pure accident. Also I don't know how they did it but S2 of JJ was genuinely unwatchable to me. Like, I couldn't even make it through one episode. I forced myself through the first two episodes of S2, watching a few minutes at a time, because I felt it had to "get good" eventually, but christ, it wasn't getting good, and thankfully someone at RPS put me out of my misery by telling me it never did.

After the washed up Peter in Spiderverse it could be interesting to see a movie Spiderman dealing with ageing.
(I know we sort of had it with Toby trying to torpedo Mary Janeās career but who knows how old anyone in those movies was meant to be)

Fucking hell, the car chase/trick arrow scene in this week's Hawkeye. That's exactly what I love about the MCU. That's my moment of the year, right there.

The SFX and production values on recent disney+ shows like The Mandalorian and Falcon & Winter Soldier are nuts. They are basically indistinguishable from movies.

I think they take well over a billion dollars per month from Disney Plus subs. Youād hope the shows have high production values. Technically though that car chase was magnificent, because the actors clearly canāt be driving the car, so how they pulled all that shit off and made it look so convincing is, well so hopefully itās the subject of an on-depth making-of video someday.
The Shang-Chi bus fight was great, but I donāt think it involved remotely such a degree of co-ordination between what was happening in the bus compared to outsde the bus simultaneously.

BUT on the other hand, Disney says that its new show that it spent hundreds of millions on is going gangbusters, and that I should watch it because everyone is talking about it.
