I’m weirdly all in on Hogwarts. Add Armored Core VI to the list too.

All ready "paid"* for (*got for free,Lovely Gamepass quest credits!): Hazza Potter Dead Space
Rest of year and assuming I can afford after heating the House, cost of grub etc:
new AssCred Fable (unlikley we will get in 2023) new Spider-man Forspoken Fatal Frame 4 Star Wars: Jedi Survivor Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Diablo IV
I will buy more no doubt and if a Switch 2 is released I may actually buy. What I really want is Gears 6 news, it will be 4 years since we had 5 and that has been resting in the Sun(setting) for ages now.

I've actually not got a big wishlist for 2023. Resident Evil 4, Zelda 2 and Advance Wars will likely suffice until the summer. I'm still rinsing Splatoon 3 and Dragon Quest 11. Mario Kart and Switch Sports have had updates and are just too easy to pick up and play at the moment.
I've also got so many unplayed/unfinished Gamepass downloads, like Tunic, Death's Door, Lootriver, etc...
I'm actually not looking too far ahead at games these days. Its a nice place to be.

I honestly think next year could be an all timer for my own personal tastes if the games come good.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Street Fighter 6, STALKER 2, Hogwarts Legacy, Advance Wars 1&2, Diablo IV, Baldurs Gate 3, Company of Heroes 3 and Silksong will all be insta-buys (unless Hogwarts Legacy and COH3 shit the bed).

It really is a great start to the year game-wise. I say great, I mean "horrendous on the wallet".
I'm definitely picking up: Dead Space RE4 Remake Wo Long
Lots of other awesome looking games coming out mind you, but these ones I won't be able to refuse when they drop.

I'll start with Fire Emblem and Zelda, and see where I go from there.

There was a Sainsbury's round the corner from uni and we used Sainsbos all the time when deciding where to grab some lunch.
That was 20 years ago mind. I was young and stupid. So stupid.

Did you constantly think about ways to murder him?

We've genuinely not spoken since I left uni 15 years ago. That's more because he was a bit of a div though.

People are really excited about this Harry Potter game. I'm assuming a Harry Potter soulslike or something

I've only read half the books, seen none of the films, and JK Rowling is JK Rowling but even I think it looks tempting.

Just a detail I forgot about: Witchfire will come out on Epic first. Apparently Early Access.
Good opportunity to add some footage. Hadn't been aware that something new had been released. That actually looks pretty good now.

Biggest appeal for Hogwarts Legacy for me is in the name - Hogwarts.
I just love a game with an amazing hub (Gruntilda's Lair in Banjo-Kazooie, Peach's Castle in Mario 64 etc) and this has some serious potential to be the best of the lot.
I started reading the books as a 10 year old too and they still mean a lot to me too, despite Rowling's best efforts in being a supreme cunt and taking the shine off them.

Hi mate Re points, I always complete each days tasks and with all the various weekly and monthly ones. You would be surprised how quickly they add up. I did a count up and I have "earned" around £500 over the years.

Happened to be on YouTube when a livestream of that Hogwarts game went up. Yeeeeeaaaah. No. Looks like janky last gen AA fodder. Really surprisingly low rent, and about as much fun as punching your own face. I'm very much out.

Sadly I got the same impression - the first trailer was great but seeing the actual nuts and bolts of the gameplay has really dampened my enthusiasm.
