Yeah, I can upgrade Rez cheaply too, but I played a fair bit of it on PSVR 1 and I'm not sure I need more. But yeah could be the right move. I'm annoyed that I bought Tetris Effect PS4 on the Turkish store, and now it seems they've closed the loophole that would allow me to buy the cheap upgrade for that.

It's been *years* since I switched on a console (but played Requiem: A Plaque Tale on Xbox Cloud recently, loved it); always wanted to try PSVR so went out and got the PS5 and VR2, have Pavlov, Tentacle and Horizon, not had more than 40 mins so far, work and kids etc, but it's amazing! I practised for a bit in Pavlov then made the mistake of joining a game, steep learning curve there!

I fancy a snack-sized VR game to go alongside the main courses of GT7 and RE Village. In my wishlist I've got Moss Book 2 (played most of 1 on PSVR1), Tentacular, Kayak, and Pistol Whip. Recommendations please! Have I missed anything good? Ideally it'd be something quite chilled and gentle on the ol' stomach. Puzzling Places is apparently very good and also obvs chilled. There's a demo. Not tried it yet though.

In a bid to save myself £529 I bought Grid Legends on Quest 2 last night. It looks awful but plays brilliantly, I can only imagine how good GT7 is now. I've probably now cost myself £550.00...

After so very nearly pulling the trigger on getting the PSVR2 (no prior VR) based on the reviews of the games so far in benefit vs cost I think the decision to hold back for now still seems on point. GT7 aside which does look the dogs b’s there is no other game that seems to be a must have yet. Even RE which I expected to be highly acclaimed seems to have some viewpoint and control downsides vs regular game.
It will be interesting to see how serious Sony and devs are in committing to full VR versions of AA/AAA games going forward as for now racing games aside it’s looking more style over substance to me so far.
That said if Game or another outlets are allowed to demo the system for trial play even at cost id be towards front of queue as I’m still really keen on the kit long term it’s just the high cost and need for more top level games needed first imo.
/wonders about the legal terms of sale of these kits and what that might mean for retailers/arcades etc who might want to pay and play the systems for trial or paid play…

It's fucking amazing. Driving the BAC Mono around Brands Hatch and seeing your helmet move in time with your head movements in the tiny windscreen...

Yeah, that's where I am with the PSVR2. I've been faffing with VR since the Rift DK1 so I've had my "wow" moments already. And the Vive. And the Quest 2. And the PSVR1. And the Rift CV1. And... etc. etc. Much as I'm deeply envious of those people playing GT7 on the PSVR2..... that will still be a thing I can do whenever Sony and 3rd parties have showed their hand for future releases. Once I can see there's a glut of content coming that I care for, I'll doubtless jump in because it looks like an amazing bit of kit.

RE Village in VR is not half arsed in any way (well, apart from occasionally wrestling camera control away from you for cutscenes). It works fantastically. Considering it's also a non-VR game, I'm not sure what else it could do to be a "full VR version". And of course the RE4 remake will be coming to PSVR 2 as well (curious how that will work as a 3rd person game).

Steve was having tons of fun doing a mixed class 8 lap race at Le Mans in VR with no HUD but not having a team radio in the game did cause a bit of an issue towards the end. It's a fun video but obviously quite a long one.

@amonkman5000 yeah, you'd think the roundhouse kicks and supplexes in RE4 will definitely be a bit odd in first person. Presumably Capcom know what they're doing here though, as it's not their first rodeo.

Saw a couple of mates last night and took the VR with me, and ran through a few games while having a drink and chat. Finally tried GT7 - holy shit that's impressive. I think one of my mates is going to buy VR at lunch today, and the other is just waiting for a bit of money to come in

Don't think I'd have the patience or time to put into GT7, really enjoying Pavlov though, although the small maps might get boring after a while. Still haven't even switched on Horizon 🤷🏻 Anyone else on Pavlov?

I kind of want Pavlov but the first person stuff is still turning my stomach. Can’t imagine a competitive FPS would work with comfort settings either so will probably avoid.
GT is what it’s all about. Can’t get enough of it. Every different car becomes a thrill.

You're sounding like a man who is set to have an argument with his wife about expensive toy steering wheels at some point in the future.

Yeah, I'm leaning back towards grabbing a Fanatec but I really don't think I'd use it much at all, outside of GT7. I want the experience though!

They're something that spend a lot of time in the cupboard, but when a good new racing game comes out they're your favourite thing in the world for a month or two. There should be a new Dirt Rally coming soon and they're amazing with a wheel.

Just got my PSVR2 and immediately noticed that the cars in gt7 look tiny, like the old mini has a 6 inch steering wheel. Anyone else notice this?

I know I used to have one. They were small but not as small as it appears in game. I suspect it is setup related as I rushed through it all I’m my eagerness to get up and running!

It’s smaller than real life, yeah. It’s all scaled down a bit, but it’s all the correct scale in-game.
