They are both people with hectic lifestyles, as the news would phrase it. You know the type who not getting on well in life and struggling. Millions of people like it in the world, believe it or not.
One of them has a ps4 and plays Assassin's Creed and I shudder thinking of the improvements he could have. The other has a Xbox One S I gave him for plastering some of my upstairs and every 30 or so days I got to pop up his house and register the xbox for him on my mobile hot-spot because it stops all access.

Seems like a lifelong commitment just for some plastering.

It's a surprise to discover that practically everything has a patch of some sort when I actually bother to take my PS4 online these days. If a game is so broken it's relying on a day one patch it's certain to be the first of many patches hence I keep my console offline and avoid certain games.
Remothered Broken Porcelain is pretty difficult to cope with as it plays out of the box though, I actually bothered to patch that one and the difference is night and day in terms of making the game far more tolerable to play.

One problem with massive day-one patches is that they have the potential to introduce bugs that then take a while to spot and fix, such as the apparent damage bug in Redfall.

They kept doing that with Outriders. Every bug they fixed caused two more and every balance change resulted in something else becoming OP or just broke it completely.
