I thought the migrant ship was THE no1 story for a few days tbh, it was all over the media, but the titanic story definitely swamped it.
It feels like creating a narrative that isn’t there on this thread though, and some of the comments constantly going on about the fact they are all rich (which they weren’t) and somehow all a group of idiots so “hahahaha fuck them fools” are just two examples.
The ‘story’ of 5 people trapped in a sub running out of oxygen while searching the titanic is going to be a massive story in the media weather those people are rich, poor, stupid, clever, black white or green.

If I had a quarter of a million in disposable income to piss away on a trip on a submarine, I'd consider myself to be pretty damn rich.

Maybe it was the controller what sabotaged it. Only explanation for it surviving.

I'd take deep sea over space but there are much more interesting things than a sunken ship, unless there be booty You looking to clap mermaid cheeks?

Guy is totally getting ready to make a film.. Isn't the point that they didn't know for sure? Like the Navy heard a sound, thought it might be an implosion, but didn't want to be all like "hey everyone they're all hot meat paste now" without seeing some wreckage?

That Twitter poster isn't the sharpest tool in the box, that's all - he heard Cameron say, "I knew [X]", which most people would take as, "I firmly believed [X], based upon my existing knowledge and experience", and he mistook it for ACTUAL knowledge, i.e. complete certainty.

He didn’t know, he just considered it the most likely outcome based on the evidence and was later proven correct, but most people didn’t know about the leaked military surveillance information and that info didn’t constitute proof of death, the big pile of debris did.

In another interview he said they had heard a bang on the support vessel too, and that they knew they had dropped ballast and were on their way back up, and the only way they could have know that on the ship is if the guys down there radioed it in.

Read that a trip before this was cancelled after parts of the sub got damaged by a fishing net.

Seems they were going for 'increase efficiency by getting rid of people and giving more work to everyone' approach.
