This Saint fight is just ticking all the right boxes. It’s fucking brilliant. Naturally I’m getting gubbed, but I’m happy about it.

I appear to be lost lol. Got to a wooden platformer part which ultimately leads me to a door I don't have a key for. The only other way is down below to what I guess is an optional boss?

But also (spoiler re: a key item) if you follow the lower wooden platforms, which is where I think found the door, back in the direction you came from, do some jumps, watch out for all kind of lurking enemies, take a lift up, you'll eventually get to an area where you'll need to do some umbral pathfinding. Manage all that - it's not easy - and you'll get a very important key that will unlock several doors in the hub. There are other items to be had too, if you want to risk exploring but you can much more easily return so I'd focus on the key |

Amazon.fr pulled their finger out and sent my pre-order, now we wait for the postie to deliver, fun times ahead!
Let's hope the devs roll out some more patches in the mean time...

Nice. Fingers crossed. There may be another patch today, but there had been two up until yesterday, and both made a difference. The key issue still plaguing certain areas is frame rate. The Fen (after main boss 3) is Blighttown all over again when things get busy - at one point it became unplayable...I mean literally 1 FPS or something.
To be fair, I'd had it open on quick resume for days, so closed and rebooted and it was better. But take your sweet time in the earlier areas while they fix this mess :-)
It's a shame as it really is bloody good.

He might be tolerable if he was on foot all the time. I've got him down to 2/3 health - yes, that much  - when he's on foot. And that's using an NPC summon to draw the aggro. |

I honestly thought he was great fun. Difficult but a very fair fight without any cheap tricks.
