Have to say Elden Ring had a pretty epic go at it. I mean you had no idea what the narrator was blathering on about but he sure wanted us to know about it.

Bloodborne has a cool spooky intro with the little ones crawling all over you
I thought the Elden Ring one was a bit OTT

I remember seeing screenshots of this in a magazine when I was a kid and thinking it looked like the most amazing thing ever. I never got to actually see it in action or play it, so I imagine the gameplay might have been a bit of a disappointment. But in my imagination it was fantastic. Dark Future meets Mad Max with amazing graphics. |

Well it's far and away my favourite of those FMV QTE games, not that that's much of a high bar.
It's incredibly nostalgic playing it now. Major 80's time capsule

He starts fairly calm, until he sounds like he is ejaculating everywhere as he shouts out names. As with most From games, I think the intro works much better after you have already played the game and know what it is jabbering on about. Re-watching actually made me more interested in replaying Elden Ring than anything I've read about it since finishing it a year ago (I loved my first play through, but I've not had the same urge to delve back in as I get with other From games). Hope we hear some more about Shadow of the Erdtree soon. |

Freespace 2. I'm a sucker for some epic sweep, Civilisation intro videos have been known to make me get teary like it's the end of Gladiator as well. Sometimes simple is brilliant Would have been improved using this music though. |
