I bought some Unity stock a while back and had been doing alright out of it, especially since the Apple Vision announcement. I'm still up a fair bit, so thinking about selling, though it is up again today for some reason. Guess investors like scummy practices like this...

Traders are either deciding most of Unity's money comes from mobile so it'll be fine. Or they're gambling on a massive rollback making them a quick profit.

Tbf, this doesn't really count as insider trading as more people more informed than me in this area have noted that this is what is called a 10b5-1 plan which means they had already planned to sell those shares last year. www.investopedia.com/terms/r/rule-10b5-1.aspAlso I think the CEO has something like 3million shares, so 50,000 is a pittance. I think this also applies to many others higher-up in the company who also went through this plan. Sure the shittiness of Unity's plan is without question but this really is a bit of a spurious link, moreso by publications writing about stuff they don't know about as if they do. I mean there's a lot of comments in Kotaku and EG's similar article saying the same thing at how thinly researched these claims are. |

Yeah, from an optics POV it's fucking awful and like I said the people in management are just garbage but there's nothing here to suggest insider trading especially when the CEO has millions of shares, 50k being sold is not the big scoop it's being made out to be. His shitty business practices are.
