The download for this finally finished yesterday, so I tried to start a flight from Heathrow, but the plane was facing a building for some reason and I didn't have enough space to turn it around and take off. So, erm... any good noob guides around?

I bought the Fenix a320 add-on and holy shit is it impressive. Every single switch and circuit breaker works, and their custom EFB is just a joy to use. Makes the NEO look like dogshit in comparison.

The FBW A320 is a decent halfway house. Iโve been enjoying flirting between the PMDG 737 and the Fenix, alongside a cross-country trip in the Milviz 310 - the plane remembers its state so you need to look after itโฆ

I want PMDG stuff (like the dc-6) but I have a tough time supporting a company thatโs been so shitty over the years.

Going to get back into this.
Downloaded all the world updates since my last play so now just need to find the time to get stuck in.

I think I'm finally falling away from the sim after two years of playing most days. I had been using FS Economy to give it a bit of structure, but that's starting to wear thin. I need to sell my assets and take a break.
In all that time I never really got fully into the simming side of things; it was more of a travel simulator. Would still like to get into that side of things at some point.

FS Economy is OK, if a bit staid. What might you be selling?
I've got Skypark installed (https://orbxdirect.com/product/p42-the-skypark) which is a bit richer. Tie that in with VATSIM to go all-in.

I'm still a novice but trying to make my own trip in stages using IFR. I flew Dublin to Birmingham last night in a Cessna and made it ok. I wanted something with a bit more punch for the flight from Birmingham to Gatwick so went for a faster prop plane.
All was well, someone even joined me for the last leg flying around my plane, until I mananaged to stall it on final approach and couldn't recover. Ended up in some trees just short of Gatwick...

I have a bunch of 2-lotters in the Rockies region (Idaho to New Mexico-ish) but I might keep them.
I also have a bunch of 2-lotters in India/Pakistan some of which I'd let go for 50K each - several 'star' type routes plus a Caravan to fly them if you were interested. Lease to buy, even! Foothills of the Himalayas/Rann of Kutch areas.
Also have a Douglas DC-6B (PMDG) which I'd probably sell for not much over bank price. Various Caravans and KA350s.
I haven't checked out Skypark but I did get Air Hauler 2 which I haven't spent nearly enough time with. Had a little business going in Japan

Have you tried the bush trips? The California one is pretty great.

Have you tried the bush trips? The California one is pretty great. [/quote] I've looked at them but I'm bad at VFR so struggle. This is why I'm doing my own Bush Trip. Trying to fly Dublin to...somewhere in Spain maybe. *edit* Made a mess of quoting that but you got the gist.

The Cali-Nevada bush trip is the only one you canโt GPS your way through and have to 100% rely on VFR, the others all have planes with Garmins etc to follow the route. Though a few have extremely tricky landings to deal with, so itโs not just follow the POIs
/polishes โcompleted without using back on trackโ achievement

Will have to give that one a shot. I only got about halfway through the Patagonia previously.
My own current 'adventures' have seen me alternate the A320 and 737 up the Norweigian coast, up to Svalbard, and the last stop was Reyjkavik. I don't mind admitting I set the sim rate to 2x on the Fenix and 8x in the 737 when in cruise.
VFR, I'm currently heading down the Adriatic in my 310. Started in Bolzano, down to Lake Garda, Venice, Trieste, now holding in Rijeka.

I've looked at them but I'm bad at VFR so struggle. Ah yeah, I mixed up VFR/IFR again, sorry Separately, there are a few good tools out there now for creating your own bush trips (VFR) - I had a lot of fun doing this one. It assume it still works and probably doesn't need some of the mods (the one correcting the landscape spikes for sure) anymore. It's more travelogue than tricky landings etc, and is reasonably well regarded:
Edit: though the back half through the NM/AZ desert is a bit dull past Pie Town

Iโm so taken with the Fenix a320 that Iโm considering picking up the Thrustmaster Airbus set to fly around with it.
I already have a Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo setup.
What the hell is wrong with me?

Got about 50 hours with the FBW A320 now, really thinking about getting the Fenix but I heard performance isnโt great in VR. Sim Update 10 should bring the weather radar back on the FBW, but also dlss, although I doubt dlss works in VR. They said there will be a beta soon.

My Airbus kit arrived. Itโs lovely.
Only now Iโm also thinking of getting the Boeing pack so I have column yokes covered too.

At this point you should probably just get flying lessons and become an actual pilot.
